I love my big brother and miss him already. Rest in peace, SSam Zito You saved my life more than once and were fiercely loyal and protective of me. In the last few hours of his life, I wrote these thoughts. The pic is of the 4 of us siblings which we were only able to capture 4 times in our adult lives when we were all at the same occasion. The fourth is of our hands while he was in the hospital.

Inevitability
When the time is coming and can’t be stopped, every second a quarter-hour, minutes like hours.
You take smaller steps coming back to where it all will happen, hoping a shorter stride will help you cope better.
Why is it harder to let go when the time is set and without appreciable swiftness before it got to this?
Bravado was his taking the chance all would have a wonderful outcome, he was fearless in his determination to survive this trajectory. Fate and God and my big brother’s higher power delivered a different message, that “this too shall come to pass.” That was his outlook on the hardest parts of life.
We wait while the cruelty of the clock ticks, and it’s scary for all of us who love him.
We are to inevitably lose a brother, husband, son, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend today. by @drmichaelzito

It’s a trap!!!!! That look is what got him out of the slammer at the pound last year! Such a beast. Though I’m grateful for the unconditional love, I’m also happy when I’m pissed off and he answers to “Beast” and “Fuckface” by @drmichaelzito

It’s been said that if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. That’s true for me.
