For Juneteenth, I am proud to present to you, a visual dance poem dedicated to the beauty, strength & softness of Black women ✨

Thank you @sayaxsilk for trusting me with the making of this video. The project originally started as a creative outlet for us to have fun and collaborate. Brainstorming creative ideas with Saya & @sequoia.aya to see this project come to life was a real joy.

Thank you @zselyke_tarnai for this lovely poem. Thank you @_faithjoy_, & @angelique.divinity for your beautiful energies.

When I first heard Crushing by @eartheater the music video directed by @andrewthomashuang had just come out and it was the most special and beautiful thing for my senses at the time. I replayed the song repetitively; high, sober, all the time.

The song’s lyrics bleed into each other, as does the imagery and sounds, and these elements together simulate what it feels like to have an all-encompassing crush on someone. A crush that is enthralling, sensual, full of fire and at the same time anxious, uncertain and vexing. The editing for the music video emphasizes something that neither begins nor ends and moves seamlessly, the velvety rolling strings play like a languid dream. To have a crush is to ride on entropic waves in rendezvous with a mysterious and dreary shore. It is the siren calls that don’t stop ringing as a temptation to burn in each other’s embrace 🔥 Eartheater plays both the hypnotic Venus and the tortured admirer.

Everything about this collaboration feels cohesive and magical. I still feel this song in my bones. by @drmqwn

This is 2025!!!!!!! (I was too busy in the moment™️ to record in Oct and Nov.)

I moved back home to ny (I’ve thought about the bay every day this winter) and I’ve been told the first 2 years of moving is usually the hardest. This is more than true for me given how much I appreciate stability. And yet, I still have an inclination toward the uncomfortable stretch that comes with growth. The benefits outweigh the risk, and nothing will stop me from living my best life 🥴🌟

Looking to create new memories with new and old faces now that I’m backity back.

To those featured in the video by voice or by picture, and some that I see every day but not captured, you have made my transition to the city that much smoother. Big love 💕!! by @drmqwn

In early June, I was able to yap at the @asianartmuseum to read and exhibit my poetry. I’m eternally grateful to San Francisco for holding and healing me the way that it does. It felt medicinal to reconnect, reshape and deepen my connections with familiar faces, as well as create new bonds. Ya are so fucking amazing 🙏🏼

YyeEeRRr 🗣️ NYC pull up to the @themuseumofmodernart for the premiere of my film, “With Time, In Time” shot on 16mm with @mononoawarefilm . It’ll be screening alongside films by other dope artists.
