Every meaningful journey begins with a single step.

For years, I’ve had the privilege of serving others through healthcare, leadership, and community engagement. Along the way, I’ve learned that real change doesn’t happen because one person has all the answers—it happens when people are willing to listen, serve, and work together.

This page is where I’ll share that journey. You’ll see the people I meet, the organizations making a difference, the issues impacting our communities, and the opportunities we have to create positive change together. 💛

None of this would be possible without my family. Thank you for your love, your guidance, your prayers, and the values you instilled in me. You taught me that service is a responsibility, integrity matters, and every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.

I’m excited for what’s ahead. Here’s to learning, serving, and making a difference—one conversation, one community, and one opportunity at a time.

Let’s get to work. 😉 by @drnicaraneely

Such a great evening celebrating land conservation with Virginia Forever! 🌿 A special thank you to Blair for the opportunity to attend as a guest of the Virginia League of Conservation Voters.

I enjoyed meeting wonderful people and the Honorable David Bulova, pictured with us. Grateful for opportunities to connect, learn, and support protecting our Commonwealth’s natural beauty for generations to come. 💚 @blairstledger

Yesterday was one of those moments I’ll carry with me for a long time.

Standing inside the Dirksen Senate Office Building and being recognized among the 100 Women of Excellence was both humbling and surreal. I found myself thinking about the many chapters that led me to that room—the opportunities, the challenges, the people I’ve had the privilege to serve, and the moments when I simply kept going.

I’ve never believed that leadership is about a title. For me, it has always been about service, impact, opening doors, and using whatever seat I have at the table to make a difference for someone else.

To have that work recognized in a place that represents so much of our nation’s history made yesterday especially meaningful.

I’m grateful for every person who has encouraged me, challenged me, prayed for me, mentored me, and trusted me along the way. And I’m especially thankful to God for continuing to order my steps—even when I can’t always see where they’re leading. And to celebrate with my bestie Dr. Linda Wright made it even more special @pharmlj

Yesterday was a moment to celebrate how far I’ve come.

Today, I’m thinking about how much more there is to do. ❤️

Southwest Virginia, you were good to me. 💛

Another memorable weekend with the Sorensen Political Leaders Program—this time experiencing Southwest Virginia through its people, history, arts, industry, and communities.

From learning the art of letterpress printing, to stepping inside the historic Lincoln Theatre, to visiting a coal mine and learning about an industry so important to this region, every stop offered a different lesson.

One of the lessons that stayed with me came from the mine: leadership sometimes requires making management decisions quickly, while still balancing the rules, the needs of the organization, and respect for the people you lead. That exercise felt especially relevant to the kind of leadership decisions many of us face every day.

And that is what I continue to appreciate about Sorensen. We aren’t simply talking about different parts of Virginia—we’re experiencing them, meeting the people who live and work there, and gaining a better understanding of the perspectives that shape our Commonwealth.

The print I made this weekend captured it perfectly:

“Tell me, and I forget. Teach me, and I remember. Involve me, and I learn.”

This weekend, we were involved—and I learned. 💛

Grateful to everyone who welcomed us and gave us the opportunity to see Southwest Virginia through their eyes.

To God be the glory! 🙏🏾✨ One of the 100!!! 🥳

I am incredibly honored and grateful to share that I have been selected as a 2026 100 Women of Excellence Honoree!

To be recognized alongside an extraordinary group of women for leadership, service, impact, and a commitment to excellence is truly humbling. I’m especially excited to be recognized at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.—a moment I know I will never forget.

I don’t take opportunities like this lightly. I’m thankful for every person who has encouraged me, challenged me, opened a door, trusted me to lead, or allowed me to serve along the way. And above all, I thank God for continuing to order my steps and reminding me that purpose has a way of making room for you. ✝️

Grateful. Excited. Humbled. And still just getting started. 💛

I am incredibly honored to share that the Honorable Governor Abigail Spanberger has appointed me to serve on the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. ❤️ Thank you @abigailspanberger

The calls, texts, emails, and messages I’ve received since the Press Release have been overwhelming in the very best way. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, encouraged me, supported me, and celebrated this moment with me. I am truly grateful. ❤️

Pharmacy has been an important part of my life and career for more than two decades, and I’m humbled by the opportunity to now serve the Commonwealth and the profession in this capacity.

I’m grateful for the mentors, colleagues, friends, family, and organizations that have poured into me throughout my journey and helped prepare me for opportunities to lead and serve.

I look forward to bringing my experience, perspective, and commitment to patients, pharmacists, and communities across Virginia to this work.

It is truly an honor to serve the Commonwealth of Virginia. ❤️ by @drnicaraneely

Advocacy is about more than having a seat at the table—it’s about making sure our profession has a voice when decisions are being made.

Proud to continue working alongside the Virginia Pharmacists Association to strengthen relationships with policymakers, advocate for our profession, and help ensure pharmacists are represented in the conversations shaping healthcare across the Commonwealth.

Relationships. Representation. Results. 💊🏛️

Good policy begins with listening. Today, I had the opportunity to visit a Virginia dairy farm and learn directly from the farmers who work every day to feed our communities. From workforce challenges to sustainability, animal care, and the economics of farming, every conversation reinforced that the decisions made in Richmond and Washington have real impacts on family farms.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and better understand the issues facing Virginia agriculture. The best leaders spend as much time in barns and fields as they do in boardrooms and committee rooms. 🐄🌾🥛
