We landed in Iraq in early August and were stationed at Camp Anaconda.

A few days later, about 14 soldiers from Charlie Company, including myself, were selected for a mission to Ramadi to support the Marines at the forward operating base.

Ramadi was one of the most dangerous places in Iraq at the time.

What we stepped into was the Second Battle of Ramadi.

War tests the body.
Brotherhood keeps you alive.
