The history of this chassis is heavy. 🏁

MGR Rally built this exact Subaru Vivio RX-R to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Colin McRae’s iconic 1993 African Safari run. Global regulations shut down their original plans to take it back to the Safari dirt—but the story doesn’t end there.

2027 marks 20 years since we lost an absolute legend. We are officially bringing this tribute chassis stateside to tear up the American Rally Association and finish what MGR started.

We don't have massive factory backing. This is a rally-lovers grassroots tribute. We are keeping this legendary 1993 livery for the entire 2027 season, and the only thing we are adding to the paint is the names of the 100 people helping us get it across the ocean. Hit the link in our bio to claim your real estate on the car for the 2027 season. Let’s make some supercharger noises.

The internet talked, but the paddock actually executed. 🏁

We put it to a vote, and the community mandate was loud and clear: bring this turnkey, FIA-spec Subaru Vivio built by MGR Rally 🇵🇱 to the States for the 2027 ARA Stage Rally season. No multi-million dollar budget—just a 658cc AWD machine, an open driveway, and an independent community calling the shots.

To bridge the transatlantic freight gap and get this chassis stateside, the micro-sponsorships are officially open.
Come make history with us!

Grab a $100 Livery Spot: Get your actual name, shop, or handle printed directly on the car for the entire 2027 season.

Sponsor the Hard Parts ($50): Fund the tarmac-shredding consumables to keep us on the stage.

Become a Paddock Backer ($20): Fuel the foundation and the immediate freight logistics.

Hit the link in our bio to lock in your real estate. There are exactly 100 livery spots available—once they are gone, the container bay doors seal. Let’s go to work. by @dropagearindustries

When the architects of the culture give you the nod, you know the engine is tuned right. 🏁

Yesterday I dropped the manifesto about fixing the corporate takeover of grassroots rally.
Today, I’m at my day job, grinding to fund this build, and this clip from the 43 Institute stream is exactly why we fight.
Ron Zaras and the crew at 43i understand the grassroots soul better than anyone.
To get this shoutout proves exactly what Drop A Gear is all about: no closed doors, just real builders.
We have until May 1st to fund the California run and bring this Vivio to the heavy hitters. You fuel it, we send it. Hit the link in the bio to join the Ground Crew.
