Budapest, you delivered a brief, nosy and steamy experience, inspiring me to continue travel writing. by @dropitdre

Describe Slovenia so far...

"Getting away from the city life and into the small vilage of Bled, it's picture perfect stuff, clean and peaceful." D-S, Pops.

We are staying an extra day, to go further afield into the Triglavski National Park to do some much needed hiking and experience amazing views of the Julian Alps, a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps spanning from Northeastern Italy to Slovenia. If we had more coin, we agreed we would purchase a personal guide tour to summit Mt.Triglav at 2,864m. Maybe some other day! Away from nature, we explored the town where bridges are well and truly love-locked with all types of padlocks, tried the local Bled Cream Cakes - 16 million or so have sold since their creation! Yum. Also, we snuck into the backdoors of a castle at nighttime which turned out to be a lovely wine cellar, ominously missing staff inside the quarters...

Leaving Ancient Rome today with a huge sense of respect to the brave Gladiators who fought here in past times in Ancient Rome under immense pressures to train hard and die with honor!

An incredible experience to witness such fascinating history and whilst the Colosseum was a hotbed for selfies galore, the site was so grandeur and of such historical significance, you overlook the crowds. Luckily we went on a morning!

It is recorded that there were lots of exotic animals fighting in the amphitheatre, fighting against Men, against other animals, complete and utter organised chaos by the various Emporers. However one Emporer in particular, Commodus, who spent most of his days in power, was hijacked by his own ego and grand sense of self delusions seeing himself as a God (180 - 192 AD). Lions, tigers and bears, plus monkeys, wolves (always protected due to their significance to Romans, they were worshipped, seen as divine ancestors and companions of gods plus, symbols of power and protection.

Huge day out, thousands of steps, and lots more to share.

Here are some of the sounds and scenes of The Blue Mountains across morning, noon, and night. An amazing trip with @poppy_denovanstrouddd as always, having the best adventures and the deepest laughs together through thick and thin! The Blue Mountains is a super peaceful place, a UNESCO World Heritage site. I am so lucky to be able to experience the powerful Eucalyptus forests, unbelievable cliff views, and incredible geoligical formations.

We both walked over 50kms across various trails, including an overnight bush bash to Acacia campsite, an eventful drive down and up to the area from Queensland, which was a different adventure altogether.

Finally, I made it to Baxter Falls on the Sunshine Coast. 🌞 Had some light rain showers whilst at the Falls, enjoyed seeing how nature brought so many people together. Whilst this was a little solo trip, I had the company of my PrimaTwin Cannon film camera and the sounds of the birds to walk with. by @dropitdre
