We want AI slop IRL.

Take AI-generated images off the screen and bring them into the physical world. Print it, paste it, paint it, sculpt it, stitch it, spray it, build it, or turn it into something we haven’t thought of yet.

From wheat-pasted posters and graffiti to sculptures, textiles, landscape interventions, napkin drawings, and dada-slop-poetry scratched on glass, we want to see AI slop made physical. Weird, ugly, funny, absurd, beautiful. No rules, just slop.

Make something, put it out into the world, and document it in photographs. The photos can be sloppy or professional. We want to see the work, not judge your photography skills.

Group projects welcome.
Maximum 10 images per submission.

Posted&Forgotten is an off-site exhibition that brings together physical interventions in the real world and their photographic documentation in a shared virtual exhibition. Your work can happen anywhere. Send us the photos, and we’ll bring the slop together.

No fees, no hidden costs, no pay-to-exhibit bullshit. This is an open call, not a scam. We will never ask you for money to submit or participate.

Black Circle is a xeroxed manifesto marking five years of Drowned By Locals — a compact statement of intent produced by Drowned By Public.

It pairs Pornographic-Time: An Insoluble Entanglement, a text by Ian Bruner, with original artworks from more than twenty contributors, extending the three-volume anthology into print.

Currently on view in Tehran as part of “For Example My Eyes Are Whistling,” curated by Saman Khosravi, with the text translated into Persian for the exhibition.

“Nothing, of course, is absolute or whole. Without hope,
there can be no project of emancipation. As Han has
located, the subject of hope is a WE. Hope is an active
process that opens up a gap between intervals of
nematomorphic hallucinations. Hope forces a delay in
pornographic-time as narration. In hope, we can find the
other and, in doing so, allow for a space in which
exorcism can occur. Hope is not positivity and passivity;
to hope is to be in action against.”

عُواءٌ وَنَحيبٌ يُنبِئُ عَن ماضٍ زائفٍ وحاضرٍ يَصعُبُ حقًا امتلاكُه، ومستقبلٍ غيرِ أكيدٍ. “انتقامُ الحُبِّ الضايع” ألبومٌ يَنجَحُ في دفعِكَ لإسكاتِ الصرخاتِ مع أوَّلِ دُخولِها – رُبَّما من خوفِ مُواجَهةِ نارٍ طالما حاولتَ إخمادَها. إصدارٌ جديدٌ من كوستاس، تمَّ تأويلُهُ للخيالِ الأردنيِّ المُعاصِرِ من دراوند باي لوكالز. يتداخلُ صوتُ كوستاس بعربيَّتِهِ الهَجينةِ وصوتُ عُمر بلكنتِهِ العَمَّانيةِ على طولِ الألبوم ليخلقا تجربةً صوتيةً لَقيطَةً.

يَكشِفُ الألبومُ أوَّلَ طَبقاتِ زُهدِه فيقول: “ما عندي إشي أقوله، ما عندي إشي أُغنّيه، بس بحب أغنّي”. سَيلٌ من الهذيانِ يخلُقُ مساحةً لسردِ قصةِ انتقامِه من هذا الواقع. يُحبِكُ الألبومُ خيوطَهُ حولَك ببطءٍ حتى يَلفِظَكَ في آخِرهِ بجحود: “بِتِقدَري تموتي، ما راح أهتمّ. بتقدري تبكي، راح أضحك.”

كزائرٍ لحديقةٍ بريَّةٍ، يُبقيكَ الألبومُ على مَسافةٍ آمِنةٍ وأنتَ تُشاهِدُ افتِتانَهُ المُشوَّهَ بالجُثثِ المَيتةِ في “فِرجوني الجُثث”، أو رَجائهِ العبثيَّ بالتواصلِ في “مُتلازمة التيك توك”، أو بُكائِه على الفقدِ في “أعَزّ صاحِبٍ اللي مات”، وتَجييشِه القَدَرَ للعِقابِ في “انتقام الحبِّ الضايع”.

تُعَزِّزُ موسيقى الألبومِ المشاهدَ المسرحية، فتكملُ ما تعجزُ الكلماتُ عن التعبيرِ عنه، وتَعكِسُ حِوارَ الراوي بألحانٍ راقصةٍ أحيانًا ودِراميةٍ في اللحظاتِ الخاطئةِ، لِتُكوِّنَ جُزءًا مُتكاملًا مع العمل. يتنقلُ كوستاس بين الأساليبِ الموسيقيةِ كطفلٍ يلهو غيرَ مكترثٍ بالوقوفِ داخل الأطرِ الموسيقيةِ المُتعارَفِ عليها. فَمَثَلًا نَسمَعُ صوتًا أثيريٌّ حالمٌ في “أي لحن عجسمك”، ألحان مُشوَّهةً في “وين بير الميّ”، وأصواتَ كوستاس وعُمر المُستخدَمةَ كآلاتٍ موسيقيةٍ على طولِ الألبوم. ويتركنا الإصدارُ في “بارد زي الحجر” باعترافٍ صريحٍ على لحنٍ نهائيٍّ حالمٍ يملأ فراغَ القاعة. صوتٌ ديستوبيٌّ بامتياز!
