Another sketchbook dump, usually I just let the scanner bed mess with the colors as it wants but it really washed out the crayon pastel thingies I was using so hopefully my editing brought back most of the life to it… plus a page I simply gave up on and a lot of holdovers doodles for a comm/gift from/to a dear buddie that definitely did not fall through the cracks last year….definitely. This is an assignment from last spring where we did a biographic comic about a comics artist! Naturally I chose Rose O’Neil as soon as I saw her name on the list :D the project got away from me so I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the end result but I do know a few things, one being that I ADORED the research for this assignment, (I actually think I had too much fun in research so I ended up having way less time to actually do the scripting and illustration part but. Ohhh wellll!) having already had a passive adoration for kewpie dolls for a lot of my life, learning about Ms.O’Neil was just so fun! Two being that I had sooooo much fun merging and referencing/copying her older monster illustrations on the 4th swipe of this comic! I’ve got a whole lot of love for kewpies and it’s a bucket list item of mine to go to Bonniebrook one day T___T<3333

Starting a little early but I’m gonna try to start posting regularly in 2024…. Starting w something in my comfort zone! Another dump from this sketchbook from last fall,I swear one day I’ll be able to do a dump from another sketchbook that isint over a year old one day… one day. Hihi first reel! Testing. The waters.
