Quiet little moment of satisfaction: I was able to repair an Xbox 360 from a dishonest seller. The system would randomly shut off. After a thorough cleaning and replacement of the thermal paste, it’s back. The seller admitted that he left it out in the garage for a decade and sprayed lysol into the fan vent to try clean the dust. #xbox360slim #xbox360 by @drpark1349

Rest in the peace to one of the most influential legends in modern history, 村上克司 (Katsushi Murakami).

Even if you are not directly familiar with him, I promise that you have seen many of his designs and those directly influenced by them in pop culture.

Emperor Murakami is further proof that artists can change the world.

The game that changed so many of our young lives back in 1988. Phantasy Star was revolutionary in so many ways and for little kids to play a game like this for the first time was absolutely mind blowing. This may be the game that solidified my lifelong allegiance to Sega.

I’ve been replaying Phantasy Star for the first time since the early 90’s and it is every bit as engaging as it was back then.

Unfortunately, this isn’t my childhood copy but one I bought several years ago before retro gaming became a scalper’s world. The seller had me meet him at a 7-Eleven in Los Feliz. He was a strange dude that was likely on drugs and kept asking me if I loved Jesus. I also had to break up a fight he was trying to start with another druggie in front of the store.

After 4-6 years of patiently growing this cutting, it has finally bloomed. The person who gave it to me never disclosed the type of #plumeria it was but it’s nice to see this unique flower variation. by @drpark1349
