Day 13: Flimsy

In this case, the variant cover art of Billy Joel’s “Glass Houses” album, in which the Piano Man himself prepares to throw a rock at his two-story glass house!!!!!

Billy Joel also has an amazing discography and this album continues to age like fine wine, especially while listening to it throughout adulthood.

Day 12: Toss

In this case, Aaron Eckhart’s Harvey Dent/Two-Face’s coin toss from THE FREAKIN’ DARK KNIGHT!!!!!!

The Dark Knight is straight up one of my all-time favorite movies alongside Spider-Man 2, Shrek 2, etc and I’m surprised it took me this long to sketch anything from that GOATED movie lol. Better late than never!

Day 11: Rescue

In this case, one checking up on their bros via a group chat despite going through a very difficult time. As soon as they believe they’re the only one struggling on their own, there’s at least several more dealing with similar issues.

This sketch definitely resonates with me, especially with the current slump that I’ve been confronting in recent memory outside of work/hobbies/etc. Thankfully, the feeling is very temporary and I know better days are still ahead and that’s what continues to push me forward.

Day 10: Mystical

In this very case: …

IT’S BUDDY, OH BUDDY!!!
IT’S BUDDY THE UNICORN AKA MY SLEEP PARALYSIS DEMON!!!!!!!!

Last month, I got to see Buddy and it was genuinely one of the most absurd and yet very entertaining dark comedies I’ve seen in a very long time!!! Buddy’s Magic Land legit reminds me of Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse segments with the inverted concept of evil Barney roaming around many household televisions.

If you haven’t already, go watch Buddy while it’s still in theaters or watch it whenever it hits streaming!

Days 6 and 7: Ogre/Panic

In this very case, that scene from the FIRST SHREK MOVIE when the villagers were absolutely scared Shrekless from Shrek’s roar to the point where they became part of Edvard Munch’s The Scream painting!!!!

Another double feature worth sketching!!!!!

I would be an absolute liar if I told y’all that I didn’t enjoy the past 2 months watching this show at a weekly basis.

If someone told me 10 years ago that a more grounded Green Lantern show would end up being one of the best DC projects ever made, I would’ve laughed at your face and assumed you were completely on crack 😆

Season 1 was very entertaining from start to finish!!!

Days 4 and 5: Cactus/Smack

In this case, an absolute idiot preparing to smack upon a cactus plant knowing that they will get themselves in harm, especially without wearing any protection!

A double feature worth sketching 🤣

Day 3: Miniature

In this case, the Devourer Of Worlds GALACTUS…in LEGO mini figure form

When I used to play the first LEGO Marvel Superheroes game during my late childhood, after defeating a mind-controlled Galactus, you do get to unlock him (after paying studs in-game) only to find out that he was extremely nerfed into minifigure form 🤣
