I’m an unapologetic apologist for Christian marriage!

Victory Rose Vernon is the best thing I’ve ever done on earth.

Raising our children and leading The Word Church together has been painful, challenging, exhilarating, beautiful, amazing, heartbreaking, and absolutely awesome at the same time!

I wouldn’t trade a second of any of it! This coming February, it will be 29 years, and I promise I love her more, I’m more attracted to her, and I admire and respect her more now than ever!

If you ever come in my office, I have a quote on my wall that says…

“I want my enduring legacy to be that I have loved and been loved by a beautiful, godly woman!”

Even in a blizzard church was amazing yesterday‼️

Tried to help married couples appreciate and navigate the differences between each and how your spouse needs different stuff than you do!

God made us different and that’s fine!

Thanks @pastormikejr for going half on a car with me for a family in need!

Their beautiful little girl lost her leg, but she’s never lost her loving smile. It’s been a rough year for them, but the whole family hugs me every Sunday and they never complain.

I was on the phone with PMJ Saturday morning, the day before the 25th anniversary concert, and told him I felt led to buy this family a car because I heard they needed one.

He immediately said, “Dad, I’ll go half on it!”
Two minutes later, he sent his half— and the rest is history!

@therockcitybham , he’s not just gifted; he’s a good man with a big heart, and I’m blessed to be connected to him!

Happy ‘Sweet 16’ to my baby girl, Victory!

I have 5 amazing children, but I only have 1 baby!

You are not only Daddy’s little girl, but at 16, you’re becoming a beautiful young woman, and I’m so proud of you.

As I told you from the day you were old enough to understand,

If and when life happens and you can’t get to Daddy, call on the name that’s above every name, and unlike me, He will never let you down.

Today, Pastor preached “Bridesmaids,” reminding us that it’s not enough to simply be present. We need oil. We need a real relationship with God and the daily filling of the Holy Spirit.

The presence of God was so tangible today, and this message is one you’ll want to revisit.

It’s better to be alone than married wrong’ -R.A. Vernon, D.Min.

Other than evangelism, outreach, spiritual maturity, and justice, I’m not sure how many subjects are more important than who you say “I DO” to!

I could actually argue that when you’re married to the wrong person, it impacts all of the above.

I need all singles, young and old, to hear me!

After nearly 30 years of walking with hundreds of couples at my church, and walking with sons and daughters across the nation, I’ve arrived at this immutable truth…

It’s better to be alone than married wrong!

Every couple considering marriage needs training and mentoring!
