✨Announcing our 2026 Good in the Hood Parade Grand Marshal: Dr. Robin Beavers✨

Born and raised in Northeast Portland, Dr. Robin has dedicated over 25 years to empowering youth, building communities, and creating opportunities for future generations.

A proud graduate of Portland Public Schools, her leadership journey has included roles with Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI), Portland State University, Warner Pacific University, Trillium Family Services, and the Portland Timbers, where she currently serves as Senior Vice President of Community and Social Impact.

Today, Dr. Robin continues to serve on the boards of Portland State University and POIC, strengthening her ongoing commitment to the community.

As a longtime supporter of Good in the Hood, this honor comes full circle. From attending the festival with her family for years to marching in the parade alongside her sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she understands the power of bringing people together to celebrate culture, community, and legacy.

Now, she will help lead one of Portland’s most cherished community traditions as the 2026 Good in the Hood Parade Grand Marshal.

Join us at the parade to cheer on Dr. Robin and help kick off a weekend dedicated to Roots, Rhythm & Power. 💜💙💛

Last month, thousands of Portlanders rallied at Providence Park to gear up, celebrate our community, and then spread out to give the Rose City a proper spring cleaning. It was inspiring to see so many turn their belief in Portland into positive action. My heart is so full. 💚

There is something special about watching young people grow into who they are meant to be… and then getting to stand beside them in it.

@artbytk Tristan Irving is a Portland-born artist and a former @selfenhancementinc student—one of many I had the honor of watching grow over the years. And now? He’s creating and sharing his gift with the world.

Through our @timbersfc artist scarf program, we had the opportunity to feature his work during Black Excellence Night. What started as a scarf design turned into something even bigger… and now this incredible piece he gifted me.

Thank you, Tristan, for trusting us with your talent and for this beautiful piece. It now has a home in my office—and a permanent place in my heart.

Kicked off the new year in Miami at league meetings with some incredible leaders across MLS 🌴⚽️
I had the chance to learn alongside our Player Care & Engagement Manager @natecah, share best practices on how corporate and community partnerships can generate real revenue and real impact for clubs, and connect with Community Relations leaders from around the league.

And yes… the @timbersfc got a shout-out as one of the league’s top clubs for community engagement based on fan surveys — Top 5 in both 2024 and 2025, and #1 in 2024 👏🏽💚
