the myofascial lines are connective tissue chains that connect us from head to toe.

when we stop thinking about the body as a separate parts and start thinking about the connection between them, we can learn to decompress our joints and improve our range of motion, allowing for more functional movement

looking at our feet is one of the best ways to do this bc the feet are our foundation! when we learn to step and walk and engage the muscles in our feet and legs, we decompress the ankles, decompress the knee, and decompress the hip. This softens and opens the pelvic floor and lengthens the spine, allowing it to have better buoyancy or springiness.

If this resonates, let me know & I'll share more info about how to open your posture and engage your feet in this way! taken in Safety Harbor, Florida by @drsarahbober

it's almost as if there's a natural design to how humans should live and function and that nearly ✨ everything ✨
in the modern world goes against this.

I hear you and I see you.

Belly sleeping is controversial. I'm a huge advocate of chest sleeping (baby on your chest) and supervised tummy sleeping on a firm surface.

It's just SO good for neurological development and unwinding body tension. It also avoids the counter pressure on the back of the head that can cause a flattened skull.

let's talk startle reflex + swaddling
💡 when babies are swaddled it inhibits their startle reflex and encourages longer sleep times. this is not good bc it can lead to underfeeding, delayed weight gain, and a nervous system that is unable to regulate the startle response. the startle response should integrate around 3 months. it needs to be activated to integrate. if it's not activated (through startling) it will be retained (continue to be a reflexive movement) and can lead to a hypervigilant nervous system that is locked in fight/flight/freeze/fawn and has issues with sensory processing and nervous system regulation.

also - ever fall asleep in a funky position?? Imagine not being able to self regulate and move your position through the night. Ouch!

are you in support of this? yes/no? tell me below 👇🏼 taken in Tampa, Florida by @drsarahbober

It's all about the blueprint, baby!!

The reason why I can help adults with chronic pain, anywhere from knee pain to hip pain to ankle issues, to lower back, neck, headaches, TMJ, etc

And kids with learning and behavioral issues, airway issuses, digestive sisues, ear infections

And infants with feeding and movement and nervous system deregulation issues

Is not because I'm treating each of these individual symptoms with some kind of complex protocol, but that I'm looking from the foundation upward

I deeply understand the blueprint for human motor and neurological development, and I utilize that framework to help me figure out where there are gaps along the way.

I know that when we move properly and we grow properly and we are in the right environment, our nervous system knows what to do

I know that when our facia is fluid mobile and adaptable, and our brain knows how to recruit the right muscles for stability, we feel really good and our joints are protected.

There is an intrinsic relationship between the mobility of your Fascia, and the fluidity of your physical nervous system. Like literally how your nerves work and how much tension is on your spinal cord. That has a direct relationship with our regulative and restored do you feel or how hypervigilant you feel.

If this track, stick around 🤗🤗🤗

&& for the critics - I also LOVE to collaborate and have 1:1 relationships with everyone I refer to from dentists to holistic peds to myofunctional therapy and feeding therapists to occupational therapists and functional med providers. You need a team and I can help you put that together! taken in Gather Wellness - Safety Harbor by @drsarahbober

Felt cute. Looked cute. Was in a cute location. Accidentally took three videos of the ketchup bottle. I was using to prop up my phone. Who cares what people think. Do your thing.

Loving these flippy floppies from @earthingharmony the style is **chefs kiss** they are slightly too long which is annoying and a bit slippery and I can feel the copper button on the bottom BUT they are wide and zero drop and fashionable so we will call it a win! taken in Fort Collins, Colorado by @drsarahbober

Bucket list day yesterday. I didn't even know that the Rocky Mountain National Park was so cool or near where I was headed.

To be quite honest, going out of town with the last thing I wanted to do about a week ago, but this trip has been planned for months.

By the grace of all things good, my spirits piqued, my mind was clear & I felt excited to go just in time for us to leave 💕

the office has been the busiest it's ever been and this year has stretched me in nearly every way. IG can be such a highlight real it's hard to remember that we are all GOING THROUGH IT. I am right there with y'all.

It's a blessing and a privilege to support families through their most joyous seasons and hold them when things are tough! I have had some tough cases this month that have pulled on my heart strings, caused me to comb through my resources, and connect with colleagues local and far for advice.

I made some big business decisions this summer that have challenged me and caused me to get extra clear on where I'm headed and why I am doing what I do and why I continue to show up every day. I'm grateful for the growth and also needed this little reset.

Not sure how to end this, but thanks for reading 🤗🤗🤗 ps northern Colorado is so beautiful and there was an amazing river and I just wanted to jump in it but I was fresh out of galoshes (my silly way to say rain boots).

Okay, bye ✌🏼 by @drsarahbober

Just living in my own delusion over here 🫣🫣

replanting grass
removing shells and bricks and rocks form the earth so said grass will grow

finding worms
why have I never found worms in the earth before
prob bc I have never dug in the earth and played with mud patties?! What did I do as a child? I have to ask my mum. Probably reading and playing with babies and baking.

If I don't have time to garden, what kind of life am I living?

Joy joy joy and a little psychotic behavior.

It's good for the soul!

Would you do this?! Would you just hire it out? Would you toss the dirt?

ps I didn't just shovel it because shoveling is HARD. Idk if you have tried, but omg I thought it would be 1000x easier and it was so hard. The earth is hard. Especially when it's full of rocks !!!!

okay bye ✌🏼 taken in Safety Harbor, Florida by @drsarahbober
