Comic Western Gothic! Out October 2nd!

So much went into this cover and I’m gonna tell ya all about it! I spent three years trying to come up with a visual concept for this album and never got nowhere. Turns out all it took was a flash of inspiration from @ghostyfuntime

We hiked out into the desert and started throwin ideas around. We worked for a couple hours and as we packed up, he asked to try one last shot. This is it. It’s a long, 30-second exposure shot with three flashes of light to act as a sort of shutter while the mountains and stars bled in. Idk how he thought of it, but I’m glad he did. It’s an incredibly inventive, old-school, ingenious idea in this man’s opinion. The third slide captures the moment we got it (glad I had my phone on).

From there, the photo went to @drscherger who detailed this beautiful border and handwritten text. His keen eye for color and inclusion of Arizona plants tied it all in perfectly. And good lord, his patience with my revisions and notes…

From there, @flyinhighranch brought the two together with a thankless formatting job. She’s an expert at the unsung background work, and an incredible artist as well.

Thank you to all three of these artists! Appreciate the hell outta yall.
