This moment 🤩🤩✨✨✨

I can’t explain what I felt in the buildup. I’d been practically numb for weeks focusing on all that needed to happen to get through the defense and my last 2 classes…but THIS moment 🥹🥹🥹

As background…

15 maybe 20 minutes before my presentation was supposed to start my internet wasn’t working!!! So, I had to pivot. The closest library didn’t open for 1.5 hours. So, I drove to Starbucks and begged they’d let me pull a table outside so I could give my presentation

Then when I got to Starbucks still couldn’t get on their wifi, but by God’s grace my hotspot FINALLY started working!

#MoralOfTheStory the devil is busy, but God is clutch! #2 NEVER, and I mean NEVER give up or stop betting on yourself

This moment ✨💫

On this day 3 years ago outside of a Starbucks in Inglewood, CA with the sounds of construction to the new Clippers stadium coming through in the background I defended my doctoral dissertation

This moment. The work it took to get there. One of many highlights of my career ✨💫

…I don’t do this often, but for the last few weeks I’ve had no less than 5-6 ppl (in the gym) male AND female come to me and tell me they can see my progress and how good I look 🥹🥹🥹👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

So, this post celebrates THAT!!

It celebrates #5AMWorkouts 5 days a week for years & finally checking my nutrition…cuz nutrition… that’s my real struggle 🫣🙃

It celebrates NOT just the big goals I’m working towards, but the #ProgressNotPerfection of getting there

Got to support my fellow traveler and boo thang @naturaljas__ the other week!!! 🥹🥹👏🏾👏🏾

I’m so proud of her (and all the artists that shared their work)… Jas, myself, and a few other travelers attended the #BlackBoyArtShow last year as spectators… so to see her with her own booth today and with so many beautiful pieces 🥹🥹🥹
