Today, billions gathered around one game.

For one beautiful moment…

the message wasn’t about competition.

It was about LOVE.

May this be more than a halftime display.

May it become humanity’s next movement.

❤️

A Meditation on Freedom
Years ago, I chose to step beyond fireworks and barbecues. I asked instead: What does this day truly mean?

Freedom.
Not just the freedom of a nation breaking from its past, but the freedom each of us longs for:
🕊 Freedom from fear and the weight of unforgiven memories.
🕊 Freedom from self-doubt, perfectionism, and the need for approval.
🕊 Freedom to live with purpose, to honor all life—human, animal, plant, and earth—as sacred and whole.

History teaches us that true independence is not power over others, but rising with consciousness, so we never repeat the traumas of the past.

Today, let us aspire—even if for a single breath—to embody the timeless truth of Saadi’s poetry, inscribed on the entrance of the United Nations:

بنی آدم اعضای یک پیکرند
که در آفرينش ز یک گوهرند
چو عضوى به درد آورد روزگار
دگر عضو ها را نماند قرار
تو کز محنت دیگران بی غمی
نشاید که نامت نهند آدمی

Human beings are members of a whole,
In creation of one essence and soul.
If one member is afflicted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain.
If you’ve no sympathy for human pain,
The name of human you cannot retain.

This is the freedom I celebrate. The freedom to love, to heal, to awaken. by @drsherrysami

The need is greater than ever! More nonprofit organizations are reaching out for support, and we have an incredible opportunity to make an even bigger impact.

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor who contributed $25K, we’re now aiming to raise $70K. Every dollar raised will bring hope, joy, and critical support to hundreds of children and families in need.

Together, we can make a difference where it’s needed most! by @drsherrysami

@lovebuttonorg stopped at 3 more cities in Australia and New Zealand to work with with @fairfoodnz, @everybodyeatsnz, and @kiwiharvest. These three organizations work together to rescue and repurpose millions of kgs of a food a year to all of New Zealand, keeping their communities well nourished and happy.

@fairfoodnz produces 40,000 meals a week from rescued food. Due to this food rescue they’re able to heavily reduce the amount of methane entering the atmosphere, a gas that is 80 times more potent than Co2. Love Button volunteers helped receive and sort food donations, while also preparing over 100 meals for the communities.

@everybodyeatsnz is a pay as you feel restaurant. No cash? No problem. They just want to make sure everyone is fed properly! All of their meals are made from rescued food and some of the food is provided by Fair Food & Kiwi Harvest. Full circle! Love Button ran the restaurant with the EE team, serving over 120 people from the OneHunga community.

@kiwiharvest receives 10 tons of food DAILY. With 270 donors they’re able to source food to 220 charities in need. Love Button helped package 2,000 kgs of food, which will make 4,444 meals for New Zealand. Those meals equate to 5,300 kgs of Co2 from being released into the atmosphere.

@lovebuttonorg spent 4 magical days in Sydney with @coldplay, @ozharvest, and @projectyouthsydney. Volunteers were able to meet and serve so many kinds people during their time there.

Love Button has worked with @ozharvest in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. There’s a reason why: OzHarvest continues to do extraordinary work across Australia. With over 1,500+ partner charities in the country, they rescue and redistribute 200+ tons of food a week. This comes out to 6000 meals for Australia’s communities. The goal? Halve Australia’s food waste by 2030 and help nourish the country.

@projectyouthsydney is supporting the fight to end youth homelessness. This is a major issue in Australia, with young people making up 25% of the homeless population. Project Youth supports these youth with housing, intervention programs, schooling, employment, and anything to help them grow. Last year they assisted 4,000+ youth in Sydney. The Love Button team was able to visit and work with their youth in Cafe Y, their community cafe.

@lovebuttonorg is back in Australia 🇦🇺 with @coldplay, working with some incredible organizations. They partnered with @ozharvest_melbourne, @green_collect, @vinniesvictoria, and @vincentcarevic.

@ozharvest_melbourne has been nourishing communities country wide since 2004. OzHarvest quickly realized the amount of food being wasted across the world. With food rescue as their focus, they partner with over 100+ charities to redistribute meals to the people of Australia. Love Button volunteers prepared over 200 meals from rescued ingredients.

@vinniesvictoria @vincentcarevic is a staple within the communities. Just past Queen Victoria Market you can find their Ozanam House. The Oz House is used for accomodation and as a resource center, housing over 130 people & providing them with endless help. Love Button took over the lunch shift in the Ozanam House and served over 150+ meals to their residents & visitors.

@green_collect believes everyone and everything deserves a second chance. Their team has created an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds are given a chance to work. Collecting items that may have been considered trash, Green Collect repurposes & reuses everything you can think of. The Love Button team created boxes of art supplies that will be sent to disadvantaged schools to spark the creative minds of our youth. by @drsherrysami
