POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I have just completed a 2-month journey with 10 incredible humans experiencing honest moments, raw emotions, and heart felt story telling.

Alex Luu @alex98mos (and the MOS family) created a safe space for us to be immersed in our truths as Asian-Americans and to be able to express them with honor and pride.

I never thought I’d get to experience an opportunity like this. It felt like I’ve completed a healing chapter, like I’ve graduated from my past. MOS gave me closure.

I grew up a very sensitive soul which honestly made me feel like the black sheep, the odd one out. But now, I’ve learned that being sensitive is my superpower. It is my strength to continue living my purpose as a healer, as a Cambodian-American daughter, a supportive wife, and friend. My healing journey from grief, pain, and moments of feeling lonely taught me who I was meant to become because frankly, I needed it…the world needs it—empathy, patience, and compassion.

I think the best medicine humans can receive is the gift of story telling, authenticity, and truth. In my early 20s, healing from my upbringing, I utilized writing/journaling and the practice of being completely honest with myself to move me forward. I then sought therapy with my beautiful mentor @michelleinfinity who helped me feel many emotions that were suppressed. I turned to acupuncture, hiking, community, and art to further integrate all that I was experiencing. And now, with MOS giving me the space to voice my story of my deepest healing moments.

Healing is never ending. I will experience more layers of my existence. But that’s also the beauty of it. We can continue moving, changing, expanding and that gives us LIFE. MOS taught me to not be afraid of our own stories, to claim who we are, and also who we are meant to become. 💜

So much love to all those that came out and supported! Thank you to my ancestors, my mom, and my close friends and family. Thank you to UNLV and those that made MOS possible in Las Vegas! And thank you to my MOS family @alex98mos @melly.mp @cathyinpractice @imjakpak @k.kimes D, Desiree, Nate, Nalani, @jeaniebeanmarie and many more!!! by @drsochypann

Winter season nourished me well. I learned to take care of myself with more devotion and intention so I can show up in the world in service. And because it simply feels better when I know how to love myself properly.

The seasons are cycles that ebbs and flows.
Yin transforms to yang and yang to yin.
And within these yin states, it gives us the opportunity to really look within ourselves and understand what’s working and what doesn’t.
That takes honesty, integrity, and humility.
And the world needs more of that.
The world needs more of YOU.
The authentic part of you.
So, it’s okay to change and let go of your comfort zone and habits because on the other side is a life worth experiencing and another version of yourself that you get to meet.

How miraculous is that 🕊️

Looking forward to my growth this year and the community I get to share it with! 🌱 by @drsochypann

In Traditional Chinese Medicine each organ is linked to an emotion and spirit, as well as, a season.

❄️ The season of winter honors our kidneys and urinary bladder organs. The emotions linked are fear, letting go, safety, and will-power.

🐎 According to the lunar calendar, the year of the horse is approaching and I can tell many of us are activating our will-power. It’s so exciting to witness because real growth, change, and authenticity can take place and our humanity needs it!

Before we step into the lunar new year and a new season, check within yourself:

☃️ Am I always exhausted? Am I over-working myself? Does my body feel tense? Do I experience lower back pain? Do I feel better with rest? Am I always cold?

🧠 Am I tired of living the same way? Choosing the same habits that no longer support the life I truly want to experience? What limitations are stopping me from making new changes? Am I afraid to step into my new way of being and living? What am I afraid of? Can I let go of fear and step into my power? Can I trust myself? ❤️

🌿 We will be diving deeper into the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and how it can support our physical, mental, and emotional well-being through my workshop on Saturday, January 17th! It will be a supportive and reflective space to prepare us for the next season to come! Learn and experience practical tips to support yourself through this season.

The week before winter solstice. I can feel it in my body. Can you? Perhaps just a little more tired than usual. Wishing a little more solitude or a little more comfort with your closest loved ones. A little more quiet. A little more…rest.

There’s nothing wrong with feeling this way.

In fact, you’re in tune with the rhythm of nature—of winter.

I think modern society has conditioned us to be the opposite. To constantly hustle. To constantly be doing something, if not than you’re behind or not enough. To do your last minute shopping. To spend money we don’t even have. It’s a rush. And our nervous system is pressing on the gas pedal when nature is putting down the brakes. A recipe for depleting our Qi and Yin!

We can honor the flow of nature’s cycles by honoring the flow we feel inside.

So take that rest. It is just as productive and absolutely necessary for vital health.

❄️

If you’re curious about how to live with the seasons to ensure balance and harmony within your body and life, join me on January 17th for Embracing the Yin mini-retreat! Link in bio to sign up. Only 8 spots available. Dinner will be served 😏

Also, honoring my body and mind this evening with my new candle from @wanderhavenco and a journaling session. Be sure to check out the comforting scents of this yin-winter season! 🌬️🌲 by @drsochypann

Embracing the Yin is the first offering in a seasonal workshop series aligned with nature’s rhythms throughout the year. We will begin 2026 by honoring the winter season, inspired by the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and seasonal nutrition. 🌿

This workshop will unfold as a mini-retreat, featuring guided meditation, qi gong, yin yoga led by @silva_sana_sanctuary, sound healing, a tea ceremony held by Kamryn Grace—Tea Ceremonialist, and a nourishing, winter-inspired TCM meal shared in community. 🍲

To embrace the Yin is to honor winter’s invitation into stillness, deep rest, and energy conservation. Through embodied practices and shared ritual, this workshop will help attune your body to nature’s cycles while offering practical self-healing tools to support and prepare you for the year ahead.❄️

Join us on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 3-6 pm PST for a deeep nourishing experience!

Bringing out grandmother medicine when times are rough 👊🏽

If you’re feeling under the weather, keep health simple and listen to your body >
💤 Rest A LOT. Your immune system is already defending you. The least you can do is rest and allow your nervous system to get into parasympathetic mode & therefore support your physical body to heal.
💧 Hydrate often. Especially if you’re vomiting or having loose (very loose) bowel movements, and/or sweating a lot due to a fever. You’re losing electrolytes! I enjoy sipping coconut water and hot/warm water throughout the day.
🍜 Eat simply. Stick with stews and soups. Keep your digestion warm and eat easily digestible foods. Avoid cold and raw foods. I was actually excited to make stewed apples today with ginger and cinnamon!
🌿 Try herbs. This formula is a great one for food poisoning!! Huo Xiang Zheng Qi San has several herbs to support digestion and immunity. (Avoid if pregnant and consult with your doctor before using).
🪷 Lastly, keep your thoughts compassionate. Speak to your body with words of patience and kindness. It takes a lot simply exist, let alone heal. 😌

May the season of fall & change treat you well 💛

It’s a self-care day! Today I’ll be getting acupuncture done for myself. Visiting my @pathlv team 😌🌿

Feels really nice to tune out the world and tune into my own inner space. I had visions/dreams during my session today. I noticed how much anger I was carrying subconsciously. As we move the liver Qi, emotions will tend to surface in order to be acknowledged and released. I can see where I may try to control things out of frustration, which ultimately does me harm and creates resistance in my relationships. I noticed how I can carry that frustration in my jaw, too.

Sometimes self-care days are days of self-reflection and radical honesty. It may be uncomfortable to call yourself out, but ultimately worth it because we grow from it, and therefore get to experience life differently. My health becomes more at balance and in peace each time I give myself that space!

What’s your favorite way to self-care? 🌿
