Soaking up the sun with #TheCoreFour ☀️! After a full year, we wrapped up 2024 with a much needed family getaway to the Bahamas! 🌴 Jojo and JIV absolutely had a blast splashing around in the pool 🏊🏽, devouring ice cream🍦, sipping on their favorite sugary drinks from @thesugarfactory 🍬, and bonding as siblings. @josephwalker3 and I kicked back with some much-needed poolside relaxation and a cup of @starbucks, of course 🤣☕️. Our favorite part? Simply spending time together whether it was winning an Escape game 🔑 or playing mini golf on the lawn ⛳️…Every moment was priceless, especially as we watch Jojo and JIV grow up right before our eyes. 🥹 Here’s to more #Core4Adventures in 2025!! 🙌🏽🥰

Hey IG family! 👋🏽 I've missed you - you may have noticed I haven't been as active on here these past 8 months or so. After dealing with severe exhaustion, migraines lasting weeks and numerous other issues requiring doctor visits and numerous tests, labs and studies galore (all normal, thank God 🙌🏽!), I finally realized that I was experiencing "burnout". 😫

It wasn't easy but I decided to take a break from it all. During my time away, I was able to truly rest and reconnect with my family, my faith, and myself. With summer winding down and now that I finally feel like myself again, I would like to reintroduce you to the well-rested, healthier version of Dr. Steph:

1. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA. 🌴

2. I'm married to my wonderful husband @josephwalker3 who is the Senior Pastor at @mtzionnashville . 💍

3. I'm also a mother to two of the most incredible children on this Earth: Jovanni and Joseph IV. ❤️

4. I'm a Neonatologist (intensive care doctor for sick and premature infants) 🩺

5. I serve as a community advocate, bringing health related resources and programs to a number of our underserved communities to address health disparities. 🏥

6. I'm a clean beauty ambassador and have worked with an incredible company called @beautycounter for the last 7 years. 💄

7. I love the beach, travel and adventure! ✈️

8. I'm a BIG kid at heart! ❤️

9. On this page and in my life, I like to keep things REAL and RELATABLE. This is my journey and I'm excited to take you along with all the good and the messy. #MyLifeMyJourneyMyTruth

This past Sunday night was a time to be had at our Antioch campus, where countless couples came to learn, fellowship, laugh, and love with each other, hearing from @drstephwalker, @josephwalker3, and several experts from Soulful Bloom Therapy!

Today was a special moment of Southern University pride, HBCU excellence, and ministry impact! 💙💛

I was honored to wear this incredible denim collaboration between Southern University’s Human Jukebox @su_humanjukebox and @gap as I preached today to college students @mtzionnashville

I could not be more proud of my band and of my alma mater @southernu_br The Human Jukebox represents more than music. It represents excellence, discipline, culture, tradition, and the undeniable power of an HBCU to shape lives and influence culture.

And what makes this collaboration even more meaningful is that GAP is not simply celebrating Southern, they are investing in Southern. Thank you for believing in the students of Southern University and for your commitment to providing scholarships and creating opportunities that can change the trajectory of young people’s lives.

Every week, has the Mount Zion has the privilege of reaching students across nine college campuses, and I am continually reminded that ministry to the next generation must meet them where they are, speak their language, celebrate their culture, and help them discover their purpose.

That is why collaborations like this inspire me. When education, culture, corporate leadership, HBCU excellence, and ministry come together, everybody wins, especially our students.

I am proud to represent Southern.
I am proud of my band.
I am proud of the Human Jukebox.
And I am grateful to GAP for investing in the future.

Southern is more than where I went to school. Southern is a part of who I am. 💙💛
