Leptospirosis symptoms can fool you… at first 👀⚠️
Most people think it’s “just the flu” — until it suddenly isn’t.
Here’s what really happens when lepto starts to get serious 👇
🟡 Common Symptoms You Should NEVER Ignore:
⚠️ Fever & chills
⚠️ Severe muscle aches (calves + thighs 👈 big clue)
⚠️ Intense headache
⚠️ Red or irritated eyes
⚠️ Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
But here’s the part most people don’t know ⬇️
In some cases, leptospirosis can progress into Weil’s disease, a life-threatening form that needs immediate medical care.
🚨 Severe Symptoms (Weil’s Disease):
🔴 Yellow skin or eyes
🔴 Severe abdominal pain
🔴 Chest pain or trouble breathing
🔴 Confusion or sudden weakness
🔴 Dark urine or barely urinating

Lepto is a bacterial infection spread through contaminated water, soil, or food — especially after flooding, when rodent urine mixes with standing water.
Even tiny cuts on your skin can let the bacteria in.
