Tribute #2
I want to thank God for the mother that gave me
life. I get my strength and my ability to endure hardship from her. By the time she was 17, life had given her enough pain and suffering for a life time. Yet, she has shown herself malleable and adaptive. My mother and I spent the first 6 years of my life whether the storms of life. Circumstances then necessitated that next 10 years would reflect the age old adage of “distance makes heart grow fonder.” Then, as Providence would have it, my mother and I reconnected. She has been a constant presence in my life ever since. Birthdays, sermons, graduations, my wedding, pastoral installation, major events for the grandkids, her love has been felt.

She is their biggest cheer leader; their standard for a Christian wife; their consolation through life’s heartaches; their first teacher; their ride or die; their muse for civic engagement; their embodiment for the fight for justice. We love you, chick. And we celebrate your wonderful
Accomplishments as a mother.

Many people love the product, produced in our boys, but they don’t know the sacrificing path you took to aid in this product. We have charming, god-fearing, intelligent boys. You are an integral and important part of that testimony.

This what Donald Trump’s post. The Black President and Firat lady as apes in a jungle. He does this stuff in plain sight and turns around says he is the least racist President ever. His supporters continue to turn a blind eye to it, or trivialize it. But, Black folks has been calling it out since he ran for president for the first time.

IF the POTUS can get away with it withiut impunity, then it dog whistles to many of his supporters, Black, white or whatever, that is okay to think within micro-aggressions and deguma isng tropes.

This is anti-Black racism. But he will turn around
And say he has done more for Black people more than any other president.

In reality, things like this “set us back” in ways that many whitefolks don’t understand, but actually they do understand. They do understand what ideological racism looks like. They do understand the social mappings that dog whistles racist tropes of white superiority. They do understand the racist tropes that dehumanize Blacks, even Black leaders as “less than”, jungle-oriented, anaimalistic or bestial. by @drttlaws
