BAN THIS: The Art of Visual & Spatial Resistance explores and celebrates counterculture and resistance, and how we can keep imagining new ways of doing and being.

Create what they told you not to.

Imagine what they told you was impossible.

And fight to make it real.

CALL FOR ART: BAN THIS

What have you been told to hide, change, silence, or erase?

Dallas-area artists of all ages are invited to submit work for BAN THIS: Counterculture and the Art of Visual and Spatial Resistance. This will be an interactive, collaborative installation exploring how systems of power attempt to control the ways we live and express ourselves.

We’re looking for work that responds to censorship, restriction, resistance, counterculture, or the world you believe should exist instead.

Selected artwork will become part of the BAN THIS installation at 4DWN.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 12, 2026

Installation workshops: October 18 & 21
Student-friendly exhibition: October 22
4DWN Experience: October 23 & 24
