Today on #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay, we honour those we’ve lost to the opioid toxicity epidemic and stand with the friends, families and communities who continue to grieve. Overdose still has a devastating impact, and compassion, awareness and collective action matter more than ever.

If you see someone experiencing an overdose:

✅ Call 911
✅ Administer naloxone (available for free at participating pharmacies)
✅ Stay with the person until help arrives

Together, we can save lives, reduce stigma and build healthier, safer communities. Let’s work together toward a future where days like #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay are no longer needed.

Join us and our community partners at Moss Park on Monday, August 31, to mark International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜

Together, we’ll remember and honour those we have lost to overdose and come together in support of people who use drugs and our communities.

The event will include a remembrance ceremony, guest speakers, community booths, activities, food, and refreshments.

📅 Monday, August 31, 2026
⏰ 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
📍 Moss Park – northwest corner by the baseball diamond on Shuter St.

There will also be a memorial march from Regent Park Community Health Centre to Moss Park beginning at 10 a.m.

We hope you’ll join us. 💜
