My boy is one! ✨🎂
So we don’t know Francis’s real birthday, but today was the day the shelter picked for him so we will celebrate accordingly. Francis is a ball of kitten energy in a big goofy body (he’s a lot bigger than Eloise already!). He’s destroying my furniture, sowing chaos in to the apartment, and waking me up very very early most days. He’s snuggly, playful, and has a vertical leap that would qualify him to play for the Knicks. Despite his penchant for chaos, I will never be able to fathom how someone abandoned him the way they did. I’m so glad I found him on that cold February morning. Francis, may you know love, comfort, fun, and safety for many years to come. I’m so glad to be your mom. Happy birthday buddy ❤️ taken in New York, New York by @drumcrops

Officially three years in New York. The greatest home I’ve ever had. What an adventure this has been, and what incredible adventures are ahead.
Grateful. Here’s to many more.

My beautiful friend and neighbor Tish invited me to come to Coney Island with her family yesterday! It was my first ever visit to Coney Island, so having some Coney Island experts to show me around was a blessing. Thank you Tish and your amazing family for adopting me for the day, directing me to the best funnel cake, and enduring how slowly I eat chicken kebabs. 10/10 will join a family excursion again 🥰

Four years ago today in a big back yard in the middle of nowhere, Eloise entered the world. Eloise is a treasure. A tiny, chatty, snuggly, sweet bundle of chaos and joy. The perfect little companion to share so many important moments of my life with. As I’ve navigated big transitions, difficult challenges, and all of life’s best and worst moments, Eloise has been there with me, waiting to greet me when I get home, pawing at me to wake up and spend time with her in the morning, and curling up squarely on my pelvis, often at inopportune times. I’m honored to know and love her. Happy Birthday my sweet girl. Here’s to many more 🥹👑💖🎉 taken in New York, New York by @drumcrops

It’s been a year since I finished this project so it feels like a good time to post it. A funky little collab with @mitch.mcguire . 30 hours, a few thousand stones, and a pretty cool result. I have no idea where this hat ended up, but it turned out pretty sparkly!
