Today is my 50th birthday..!
But I never want to limit myself to numbers and figures…
I believe a person’s birthday is not just the day they were born from their mother’s womb. To me, a human being is born many times throughout life — for example, every time they feel true happiness from the depths of their heart, every time they rise after a hard fall and keep going, the first time they experience love, the first time they feel the pure joy of caring, whenever they turn back from a wrong path, or when they say goodbye to painful memories — it’s as if they’re born again.
It’s the moment when their kindness brings joy to someone’s heart…
Or when they prevent a heart from breaking and a tear from falling…
Or every time they forgive someone wholeheartedly…
Every day they try to be good, and every night they fall asleep feeling satisfied with themselves — that’s like a new birthday.
Every time in my life I’ve experienced one of these feelings, I’ve told myself: “Happy Birthday, my friend through sweet and bitter days…”
🫡☺️🎂
