Great having legendary Buffalo restauranteur Russell J Salvatore attend this year’s Bash for Mercy Flight. Russell and our good friend Manny Lezama had front row seats right next to me and Matt Shaw for the amazing Skylighters fireworks show. After the fireworks Russ, at 93 hit the dance floor and enjoyed the Nerds Gone Wild. Thanks so much Russ for leaving Russell’s Steaks Chops and more on a Saturday night to show your support for Mercy Flight. See you next year my friend. by @drycreekgroup

Been 2 weeks since the Bash for Mercy Flight and one of the greatest helicopter fly overs of all time. Hats off to Mercy Flight pilot Haji Sharif for providing this amazing salute to Mercy Flights 45 years of saving lives. Thank you WIVB Ch 4 and reporter Alexa Beck for covering it live into the 10pm news. The Dry Creek Group team was honored to produce this exciting moment for over 1000 Bash guests. taken in Buffalo RiverWorks by @drycreekgroup

Congratulations to WIVB-TV Channel 4 on receiving the New York Serving Broadcasters Award for your coverage of A Soldier’s Journey Home’s May build for Army Spc. Nathan Kalwicki, whose new home was completed in just under three weeks.

It was an incredible experience for the Hersey Dispatch team to be involved in the project and to have the opportunity to watch, learn from, and work alongside professionals who do such meaningful storytelling. We are also incredibly grateful that you included our team in your coverage of the build.

Thank you for supporting A Soldier’s Journey Home, for helping share Nathan’s story, and for believing in the organization’s mission just as strongly as we do.

It was also great to see our friends Nathan, along with Bryan and Kathy Wittman, representing ASJH at the awards ceremony.

Congratulations again on a well-deserved honor

It was a pleasure and an honor to have your support from the moment we arrived in town and first shared our story with you. Thank you for believing in our mission, for helping us tell Nathan’s story, and for sharing it with all of Western New York.

A special thank you to Nathan, along with Bryan and Kathy Wittman, for representing ASJH with pride at the awards luncheon.

We miss you, Western New York, and we’ll see you again soon. Congratulations to the entire WIVB-TV Channel 4 team on a well-deserved honor!

The Bash for Mercy Flight was a huge success Saturday night at RiverWorks with a jam packed crowd, entertainment by Nerds Gone Wild, DJ Milk and a spectacular fireworks show by Skylighters. Special thanks to Scott Bieler and Molly McCarthy from West Herr for being the presenting sponsor and media sponsors WIVB TV and radio station 97 Rock and WHTT 104. We enjoyed a surprise visit by legendary Buffalo restaurateur Russel J Salvatore and an amazing flyover by a Mercy Flight helicopter piloted by Haji Sharif. Kathy and I and our Dry Creek Group team were honored to be the events producer. Plans are already underway for next year’s Bash and watch for a date announcement soon. taken in Buffalo RiverWorks by @drycreekgroup

Huge congrats to Danielle Nesselbush and D’Youville University on another successful Redfest Friday night at RiverWorks. My Dry Creek Group team was honored to work along side Danielle and produce a great, fun night for over 1000 students and guests. The event consisted of a full carnival, 2 DJ’s, a concert by The West End, great food and drinks and a spectacular Skylighters fireworks show. Big shout out to Bill, Matt, Mark and the RiverWorks team plus Balloon Masters, Hale Northeastern and Indigo for making all of this possible. Planning is already underway for Redfest 2027.
