These are 5 things I counsel my patients on almost every day and they’re relatively affordable.

🧴sunscreen is the cornerstone to everything in dermatology. It prevents skin cancer, signs of premature aging and unwanted pigmentation.

👩🏻‍⚕️I love topical retinoids for treating acne, improving texture and fine lines, increasing collagen and fading pigmentation.

💧I think people forget how healthy well hydrated skin looks. A happy skin barrier will allow you to use your actives fully without irritating your skin. My favorites include the rhode barrier cream, avene, la Roche Posay, bioderma and cetaphil.

🌸Spironolactone is so versatile. We use it for hair loss, acne and even mild cases of hidradenitis suppurativa.

As an east coast girl, I never thought I’d land in Las Vegas but it was a beautiful, unexpected chapter.

This was the first city I called home after getting married, and the city where my daughter was born. So many of life’s biggest moments happened here.

My career kicked off in Las Vegas, and it was one of it the greatest honors to care for its patients. I came from a city with unlimited healthcare resources to a place where access to specialized care is still growing. It taught me to advocate fiercely for my patients and to help them get the care they deserved. I will forever be grateful to every patient who trusted me with even a small part of their care.

I also got incredibly lucky that one of my close friends from NYC moved to Vegas shortly after I did. Getting to practice both medical and cosmetic dermatology alongside @dr.devderm and @brookecorbettmd was one of the best parts of this chapter. I’ll miss seeing patients together, bouncing ideas off each other, and calling/texting each other 10 times a day. 😂🤍

The best medical assistants — Crystal, Bri, Steph, and so many others. You became dear friends and made coming work so easy. You made my days lighter and inspired me every day with how much you cared for our patients. I never had to ask you to go the extra mile because for you, it was second nature.
