Thank you to our incredible team for creating such amazing memories. This was the best July I could have ever imagined.
We laughed together, messed around, cried, got angry, got some unexpected cardio in and ended up completely soaked…and shared so many unforgettable moments. But in the end — Lokenhaus is all about love.

Please notice one very important thing in the first photo, on the right… This is not the peaceful Ukrainian sky. This is a sky full of Russian drones and missiles.

Honestly, I have to admit that I didn’t even notice that I had photographed myself with a drone (in the first photo) until I showed this photo to my friend from Europe… because after 2.5 weeks there, I had gotten used to the huge number of missiles, drones, endless air raid alerts, and everything else…

They are flying towards people who are simply trying to survive peacefully under these circumstances. They are flying towards my people. Every single day. It is such an endless, enormous pain for every Ukrainian. You don’t always hear them, you don’t always pay attention to them, because your mind starts working in a completely different way… What a horrible thing this is.

I’m so sorry, my Odesa. I’m so sorry, my beautiful Ukraine.

But I still tried to get the most out of this trip — my beloved family, the sea, and so, so much coziness.

I’m grateful to God that I have such a family. I pray for you, I love you, and I miss you endlessly with every year of our separation. taken in Odesa Ukraine by @ds.kalista
