LINK IN BIO AND ON HJC WEBSITE CALENDAR! The housing system in the Spanish state is at a breaking point. Between pressures from AirBnB, vulture funds, and "expats" rents are shooting up and working class tenants are losing their homes. In this context, the Madrid and Catalan tenant unions launched a massive mobilization demanding "indefinite contracts" (similar to Good Cause Eviction legislation), rent control, and expropriation of vulture funds (among other demands). When the government failed to deliver these changes, the tenant unions made a call for a general strike.

This is a panel with members of the Madrid Tenants Union, the Catalan Tenants Union, and the Platforma Laboral Escuelas Infantiles labor union. We'll learn about what led up to this moment, how the unions organized the protests, and how the tenant and labor unions are working together to prepare for a general strike on November 11. Israel’s genocide did not begin three years ago, and it will continue as long as Democrats and Republicans enable the Zionist entity and its crimes against humanity. We affirm, in alignment with AlThawabit (the inviolable rights of Palestinians) and international law, upholding Palestinians’ rights to resist occupation in order to secure justice and dignity. The Israeli occupation will continue to violate international law no matter who runs the so-called country, and the oxymoron 'liberal Zionism' will not create a more equitable occupation or apartheid state.

As one of the largest anti-Zionist organizations in the country, we proudly stand with the people of Palestine and will not stop organizing for their freedom. We will not support a politician unless they fight for a one-state solution, a full arms embargo, and other important anti-Zionist measures. We will make New Hampshire divest from this genocidal regime and end the U.S. empire entirely. Just as South African apartheid fell, so will Zionism, but we need to continuously fight for a better world.
