We asked students one question: what are you most excited for in the McLean Centre?

Five students told us what they are looking forward to most, from hands on labs to spaces built for working together.

Every learning hub and lab in one building, each one built for a different kind of work. You can tour them all at the Grand Opening on Oct. 6.

We asked Jordyn, a second-year Commerce student, what she is most excited for. “I am most excited for the opportunity to be surrounded by students who are constantly creating, innovating and building new ideas in a collaborative space. I would love to work on a studentled project where we partner with different businesses and industry professionals to solve a real-world business case.” She has her eye on the KPMG Ignition Lab.

Jacinta is in her third year of Commerce. “I am most excited for the McLean Centre to provide a dedicated space for students to collaborate, connect and network with one another. I would love to work on club initiatives and group projects that bring students together, create an open environment for collaboration and inspire others to get involved in campus activities.” She is heading to the Marinucci Entrepreneurial Bridge.

Juna, a second-year Commerce student, is thinking about how the space changes the way people work. “I am excited to have more collaborative study spaces to support different learning styles, cooperative groups and flexible settings. I would love to see a project where commerce concepts and health care initiatives align.” She is starting at the Sustainable Futures Hub.

We asked Leyla, who is in second-year Commerce, about spaces designed just for students. “I am excited for a space where we can collaborate, connect and feel even more a part of our shared community!” She is making her way to the Leadership Lab.
