Our first Lone Star Apex Open Track Day is officially in the books.

What started as a vision became a real paddock full of incredible drivers, passengers, guests, marshals, safety crew, partners, vendors, parade lap participants, and supporters who all helped make this first event special. We saw serious driving, strong community, great energy, and the kind of camaraderie that reminds us why events like this matter.

Even with weather forcing us to adapt and eventually make the safe call to shut things down, the spirit of the event never changed. Drivers stayed flexible, respectful, and committed to the right standards, and that meant everything to us.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, trusted us, supported the format, and helped build this first chapter with us. We are proud of what we created, grateful for the people who made it possible, and already looking ahead to the next one.

Our next event is coming in October. Track announcement coming soon.

Stay tuned. More to come.

Yesterday at Rally Ready brought back a lot of memories from my years as an FIA-licensed rally co-driver racing World Rally Championship, competing from Group N through Group A and eventually in fully built sequential cars. The right seat carries enormous responsibility. Pace notes, timing, controls, navigation and absolute trust with the driver all have to come together at speed.

That is what made visiting Rally Ready outside Austin so special. Texas Dave and his team are doing an incredible job keeping rally culture alive, developing drivers and co-drivers, and building the sport one dusty mile at a time. With renewed momentum around bringing WRC back to the U.S., places like this are exactly where the next generation of rally competitors begins. Great to reconnect with a part of motorsport that shaped so much of who I am today.

Track prep is part of performance.

Daytona is one of those places where the car is under serious sustained load. With 31-degree banking, high speeds, heavy braking zones and repeated high-G transitions, tires, suspension, brakes, fluids and aero components are all working incredibly hard.

That is why preparation matters. Tire condition and pressures, alignment, brake pads and rotors, fluid, suspension settings, wheel torque, cooling and aero all need to be checked before the car ever rolls onto pit lane.

The Viper ACR was built for this environment, but capability means nothing without preparation.

You don’t prep a car like this because you expect something to fail. You prep it so it can perform at a high level safely, consistently and repeatedly.

Daytona prep underway.

Always great catching up with Collin and Alex at Driven DynamiX HQ in Austin.

I tested their very first simulator, so seeing where the platform is today was impressive. The system has evolved into a genuinely serious driver-development tool, with true 6DOF motion, proprietary predictive software, extremely low latency, and an integrated approach built around reproducing real vehicle behavior rather than just creating movement.

What I respect most is that the development is grounded in real-world driving. Collin is a professional driver, and the team continues to validate the system through testing at places like the Nürburgring, Oulton Park and COTA. That real track experience shows in how the rig communicates weight transfer, grip and rotation.

Also got a glimpse inside the top-secret lab. Can’t say much yet, but there are some very interesting things coming from these two.

Stay tuned.

Jesse!

This weekend at COTA was one of those reminders of why coaching matters.

First HPDE weekend. First time driving COTA. First time pushing a fully track-prepped C6 Corvette Z06/Z07-style V8 monster in a real high-performance environment.

We started Saturday with the basics: track driving fundamentals, corner-by-corner instruction, braking zones, traffic management, car control, and understanding what the car was actually capable of. No shortcuts. No ego. Just building one layer at a time.

By day two, the foundation was there. That’s when the work shifted from basic instruction into speed coaching: cleaner execution, safer traffic decisions, sharper braking references, and trusting the car while still keeping everything controlled.

Across nine 20-minute sessions, Jesse went from a true beginner 2:50+ lap times to running a 2:28 at Circuit of the Americas. To put that into perspective, a sub-2:30 lap at COTA is already Very Advanced Group territory. Getting anywhere near that window in less than two days is serious progress.

The best part wasn’t just the lap time. It was the way he listened, processed, and executed. That kind of trust between driver and coach is what allows progression to happen quickly and safely.

Proud of what Jesse and I have accomplished this weekend. Watching a driver build from zero track experience into real pace at the only purpose built F1 track, COTA made every year I’ve dedicated to this sport feel worth it.

Respect the process. Build the foundation. Speed will come.

I can’t wait to sit with Jesse again and keep pushing the limits of man vs machine!

Formula 1 at Spa-Francorchamps was much more than a race weekend.

I was invited by RSR Spa and RSR Nürburgring to strengthen our relationship, explore future partnerships, and experience the Formula 1 paddock from inside the European motorsport ecosystem.

Throughout the trip, I was introduced to an incredible network of track-day organizers, driving-experience operators, hospitality groups, and local partners. The objective was clear: explore how we can create exclusive European motorsport journeys for drivers and guests traveling from the United States.

From legendary circuits and professional driving programs to regional hospitality and paddock access, the opportunity is to build something far more complete than a traditional travel package. We want to give people an authentic way to experience European motorsport culture, guided by relationships with those who live and operate within it every day.

The success of Lone Star Apex has shown us what is possible when serious driving, thoughtful organization, and the right community come together. Now, we are combining that experience with Dreamspace’s background in experiential hospitality to develop the next chapter through DSC.RACING.

Incredible circuit. Incredible people. So much shared passion.

This journey is only beginning.

Private track days should feel exactly that: private, safe, organized, and built around driving.

A look back at the private track event we managed for Heyen Haus, bringing drivers of different experience levels together for four hours of uninterrupted open-track access with no traditional sessions.

Making that work isn’t simply about opening pit lane. It requires careful driver vetting and classification, clear communication, disciplined passing protocols, active track management, and an environment where everyone understands that safety and respect come before lap times. The result was a relaxed, professional day where experienced drivers could enjoy the pace while developing drivers had the space and support to progress safely.

And some of our favorite laps weren’t about speed at all. Giving the younger generation safe parade laps and watching them climb out of the car smiling is part of why we do this. Access creates experiences. Experiences create passion. And passion is how we build the next generation of motorsport.

Thank you to Heyen Haus for trusting DSC.RACING to manage the track and help create such a memorable event.

From private and corporate track days to complete track operations, driver management, coaching, safety, logistics, and arrive-and-drive support, DSC.RACING provides professional Track Day Management built around the needs of each event.

Some weekends remind you that the best progress starts when the lap timer goes away and the driver fully commits to learning.

“Bham” showed up with a great attitude, a lot of respect, and a daily-driven Mazda 3 that had every reason to be underestimated. But once we stopped chasing the Garmin and focused on front-wheel-drive fundamentals, the whole weekend started to click.

We worked on throttle management, throttle steering, cleaner sequencing, and understanding where a lower-power FWD car wins: corner exits. Carousel started making sense. Diamond’s Edge got cleaned up. The car became smoother, more committed, and more efficient every session.

The biggest unlock was learning how to look ahead without losing awareness of what’s directly around the car. Vision, traffic, mirrors, point-bys, exits, all of it had to come together. By day two, we brought the Garmin back as a tool instead of a distraction, and the result was a personal best in the final session with two people in the car.

That’s real progress.

Respectful, coachable, cheerful, and genuinely fun to work with. I’d gladly ride with him again.

An unforgettable Saturday at Spa-Francorchamps with the Alpine Team and Belgian track officials. Grateful to Alex Cautaerts for the invite and the access to such an iconic experience.

From pit lane conversations to grandstand energy, this was more than a day at the track, it was the start of something bigger. At DSC Racing, we’re building the bridge between USA and Europe with our upcoming driver development and motorsport vacation programs.

This is just the beginning.

Race day post coming soon.
