First vacation sober, down… many more to go🙏✨

I wasn’t sure how it would feel, but every sunrise, every laugh, every little moment was so much more real. Addiction once convinced me I couldn’t enjoy life without it—but this trip proved otherwise. Grateful for clarity, peace, and a new way of living.

Being in recovery from drugs and alcohol is one of the hardest things anyone can do. But it’s the most bravest thing anyone can do as well. Addiction is a real disease that millions of people suffer with and or have loved ones that are affected by this disease as well. It has real low lows and really high highs, but I am so truly greatful for the opportunities life has opened up in my sobriety!

Anyone that is suffering with this disease or know anyone that is suffering… don’t be afraid to reach out to myself or anyone in general. Us addicts are over looked and thought to be “bad people”, “weak people”, or even, “losers with no life.” But in all reality, we are probably many of the most strongest people in life. We fight a battle every day and keep managing to kick ass and not fall into temptation! If anyone of my followers are struggling and scared to reach out, DO IT!! It will be the best things you have ever done and your saving your own life each and every day!

I am truly blessed to share my journey and experience on social media to expose the true raw reality of what it’s like to be an addict in recovery. It’s not always rainbows and sunshine and some days are a lot harder than others! But I am going to start taking you guys on my journey with me of daily struggles and the reality of what’s it’s like living life as an addict in recovery!

Just remember, take things one day at a time, and easy does it . You got this and your all truly beautiful humans 🥰

Tonight I had to say one of the hardest goodbyes. I know it’s just a cat but chase was more than just a cat to me. He was my best friend, my cuddle buddy, and my companion. Whenever I felt lonely or upset chase never left my side and wiped away my tears for me. He slept in my arms every single night and would wake me up every morning with meows. I never thought this day would come so soon, but unfortunately we had to do what was right so he would no longer suffer. After 17 long years it was unfortunately time to say goodbye. I will never find another kitty like you chasey you were one of a kind. I love you so so so much forever my sweet boy. Rest in peace chasey. by @dschott922
