Damar Simmons Jr — 10 THREES IN ONE GAME 🤯🏀🔥

HOUSTON HEAT WAVE 📍
High School Division (16U) | Texas Assassin Generals

Damar Simmons Jr just had a CAREER NIGHT 😤🔥

38 POINTS. 10 THREES… IN ONE GAME. 🤯🎯
Playing UP in 16U, and still took over the game.

And this isn’t a one-time thing…

15 threes in 3 games. 😳🔥
That’s elite-level shot making.

Known for his playmaking and handle, Damar is now blossoming into one of the best shooters in the city in his class.

Catch & shoot. Off the dribble. Deep range.
He’s letting it fly with confidence.

And he’s doing it on both ends — competing, making plays, and impacting the game every possession.

Scoring. Shooting. Growth. 📈🏀
Different level right now.

BRAXTON SMITH — HIGH-POTENTIAL POINT GUARD! 🎯🔥

📍 HFN | GSE

We’ve covered Braxton Smith before, and one thing continues to stand out: this kid understands how to play the point guard position the RIGHT WAY!

Braxton plays with a smooth pace and does an excellent job reading the defense. He knows when to attack, when to pull back, and how to use the defender’s positioning against them. He doesn’t force the action, makes the extra pass, and consistently looks to get his teammates involved.

What stands out most is his willingness to be a team player. He can knock down shots and is one of the better shooters on the floor, but he also isn’t afraid to get in the paint, rebound, and do the little things that help his team.

Braxton is a HIGH-POTENTIAL POINT GUARD who continues to develop and get better every weekend. The growth is showing, and we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next!

KATY JORDAN — HIGH-LEVEL CONTINUITY! 🏀🔥

📍 OTR Fall Shootout Finale

Katy Jordan is one of the better high school programs in Houston, Texas, and they showed up ready to compete at the OTR Fall Shootout Finale! 🚨

This is a deep, well organized group that plays with high-level continuity. They understand how to work together, move within the system, and create opportunities for one another. With talent throughout the lineup and a clear understanding of their roles, this group shows what makes a well-developed program stand out.

Katy Jordan came to OTR ready to compete and showed why they remain a program to watch in Houston.

REESE ALSTON — A FUTURE PRO 🔥🏀

Second Baptist
OTR
HOUSTON, TX

Reese Alston, son of NBA veteran and streetball legend Skip to My Lou, is one of the most explosive guards in the country. He plays with incredible energy, confidence, and pace, bringing propane-level intensity every time he steps on the floor.

Reese is highly consistent from beyond the three-point line and has a rare understanding of how to get to his spots without over-dribbling. In today’s game, that level of efficiency and decision-making is special.

A five-star prospect and ESPN Top 10 player nationally, Reese is already receiving attention from some of the top programs in the country, including Kentucky, LSU, and other major college basketball powers.

We’ve never said this before, but Reese Alston is the first player we’ve covered who we believe has the potential to go pro and become a champion.

CALIEL BROWN — ELITE 2031 FLOOR GENERAL! 🎯🔥

📍 Aldine | Elevated Sports Fall Break Shootout
🏀 Class of 2031

Caliel Brown is making his case as one of the top point guards in Houston’s 2031 class! 👀🔥 He stepped up at the Elevated Sports Fall Break Shootout and was DROPPING DIMES AGAINST HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION!

This is a young floor general who understands how to run a team, create opportunities, and put teammates in position to score. Competing against older players and making plays at this level speaks volumes about his confidence and ability.

Houston has some serious talent in the 2031 class, but Caliel Brown is a name you need to know. Could he be one of the top 2031 point guards in the country? 👀
