With all the rain here in Iceland, let's look back to a bit more sunshine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How do you build a NYC city block in one week in the middle of a parking lot in DTLA, scaff wrapped in mesh and custom dimensional signage of course. Oh, and a few taxis always helps. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ E3 - Playstation Press Event⠀⠀⠀⠀ Spider-man⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Los Angeles, California, USA⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ June 2018⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Design : jdk>design Inc.⠀ Art Direction : DSLA Designs⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lighting Design : Ozterity Lighting⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Company : @stungunproductions .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ArtDirection #ScenicDesign #SetDesign #StageDesign #LiveEvent #LAEvent #LosAngelesEvent #Playstation #Sony #SonyPlaystation #PS4 #E3 #E32018 #Spiderman #PressEvents #DSLADesigns by @dsla_designs

This was the main tent from Playstation's Press event. This was in a steeply sloped parking lot, and the tent itself took around a month to construct.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ E3 - Playstation Press Event⠀⠀⠀ Los Angeles, California, USA⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ June 2018⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Design : jdk>design Inc.⠀ Art Direction : DSLA Designs⠀⠀⠀ Lighting Design : Ozterity Lighting⠀⠀⠀ Production Company : @stungunproductions⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ArtDirection #ScenicDesign #SetDesign #StageDesign #LiveEvent #LAEvent #LosAngelesEvent #Playstation #Sony #SonyPlaystation #PS4 #E3 #E32018 #PressEvents #DSLADesigns by @dsla_designs

Travel is one of my favorite perks of the gig. Fitting in time to see the world not only makes the long days worth it, but inspires future designs. On this trip I was lucky to fit in a tour of the favellas. I am still inspired by the layered textures, colorful street art, and creative use of materials I saw there.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ League of Legends⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mid Season Invitational - 2017⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Rio de Janeiro, Brazil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ May 2017⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Design : jdk>design Inc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Art Direction : DSLA Designs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lighting Design : @lightpush3r ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ArtDirection #ScenicDesign #SetDesign #StageDesign #LiveEvent #RioEvent #BrazilEvents #LeagueofLegends #MSI2017 #esports #InternationalEvent #DSLADesigns by @dsla_designs

We did a show in The Birds Nest (the stadium used in the Olympic opening ceremony in Beijing)! In college I wrote a paper senior paper about Herzog & de Meuron. Installing an event in one of their most iconic buildings allowed me the time to get to see it from every angle and at every time of day. Oh, and we won the first ever sports #Emmy given to a video game company!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ League of Legends⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2017 World Championship - Finals⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Beijing, China⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ November 2017⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Design : jdk>design Inc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Art Direction : DSLA Designs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lighting Design : @lightpush3r ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Company : @concom_inc ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ArtDirection #ScenicDesign #SetDesign #StageDesign #LiveEvents #BeijingEvent #LeagueofLegends #Worlds2017 #esports #InternationalEvents #architecture #architecturenerd #HerzogandDeMeuron #TheBirdsNest #DSLADesigns taken in 鸟巢文化中心 Bird's Nest Culture Center by @dsla_designs

In one of our most complex projects to date, we transformed a steeply sloped parking lot into a guided experience which turned scenes from #Playstation's featured games into an #E3 press sized party. In this first room along the journey we recreated the church from The Last of Us trailer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'll share more photos from this roaming event soon...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ E3 - Playstation Press Event⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Los Angeles, California, USA⠀ June 2018 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Design : jdk>design Inc.⠀⠀⠀ Art Direction : DSLA Designs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lighting Design : Ozterity Lighting⠀⠀ Production Company : @stungunproductions .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ArtDirection #ScenicDesign #SetDesign #StageDesign #LiveEvent #LAEvent #LosAngelesEvent #Playstation #Sony #SonyPlaystation #PS4 #E3 #E32018 #PressEvents #TheLastofUs #TLOU #DSLADesigns by @dsla_designs

Honored to have images and elements from this event displayed in the Smithsonian. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Back in 2016 this competition was the first in the world to put forth a computer defense system that could discover, prove, and correct software flaws without any human intervention. While a lot of that cutting edge tech may have gone over my head, we were able to deliver a state of the art stage that provided all necessary air gaps and cooling systems for a fair competition, and still look good doing it (if I do say so myself). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ DARPA⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cyber Grand Challenge 2016⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Las Vegas, NV, USA⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ August 2016⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Production Design : jdk>design Inc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Art Direction : DSLA Designs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ArtDirection #ScenicDesign #SetDesign #ArtDirectors #freelancelyfe #StageDesign #LiveEvent #LasVegasEvent #DARPA #CGC #CGC2016 #Smithsonian #Technology #DSLADesigns taken in Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino by @dsla_designs
