Summer Tanger in my yard.
Forages mainly in the tops of trees. They move rather deliberately, pausing to peer around. A Summer Tanager will often make short flights to capture flying insects in mid-air, or hover momentarily while picking them from branches or foliage. Will break into wasp nests to eat the larvae inside.

The Alligator Plant (Kalanchoe daigremontiana), also known as Mother of Thousands, produces clusters of drooping, bell-shaped flowers that are pinkish-grey to lavender in color. These flowers bloom in late winter to early spring on mature, established plants, often on tall stalks, though they rarely flower when grown indoors. The plant is monocarpic, meaning it may die after blooming.

A magical moment caught on camera. I've watched this mother and her twins since August, which at that time they had spots still on them. One of the twins is a button buck the other a doe. The spots have faded and I doubt mom will let them nurse much longer. They had a little friend nearby who is interested and waiting for them to finish so that they could play.
