RIBBON CUTTING! BEST DAY EVER! Yesterday April 8, 2022 was the greatest day in my life & architecture career journey Thankful to my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ first & foremost! If you would have told me that 10 years after graduating @howard1867 that I would be standing in front of this building that I had the wonderful opportunity to design and help see through construction I would not have believed it. It’s surreal to me that the last 5.5 years of my life have been dedicated to the creation of this building, to see it stand and be realized here and now in the flesh. A real building. I’m overwhelmed with joy, stress, disbelief and immense gratitude. I’m extremely thankful to my firm UAI for gifting me with this opportunity. I remember the initial sketches back in 2016 when I was a wide eyed young designer. It was in this building that my firm and my boss taught me how to design and build. This took a village. I am thankful to The Brotherhood Sistersol organization and Khary Lazarre White for this opportunity and for pushing the design challenging us every step of the way. This took a village, an entire community of people. I am thankful to everyone who has ever commented, showed love, asked questions, throughout this journey. (Which is all documented here on IG) and to those who came out to the ribbon cutting yesterday. I love and appreciate all of you! Well - you can say that today I am the happiest man alive. I had my family, mom, dad, close friends and associates with me to witness this achievement. Thank you all for following this journey! It’s been an amazing ride and to complete this building has been a life’s dream of mine architecturally, to create something that would help benefit the upliftment of my community.
