It’s not about where but with who ✨🫂

With my brother @lsdream and fam! @ssbdfest is still one of my favorite festivals that brings together some of my favorite people. It was probably about 10 years ago now that I realized no matter where I went… I couldn’t escape who I was. It wasn’t about seeing sights around the world… it was about who I was with. We could be in some garage or basement listening to our favorite music getting down and having the times of our lives.

Im so grateful to have an amazing community of talented and kind hearted people. People who push me to explore and discover and to create despite whether it fits the mold. @ssbdfest brings together so many of these people. Grateful for this human being @lsdream who inspires me to dig deeper and find my authentic voice.

Huge shout out to my brothers @noisemakerdub and @cam_steen for allowing me to share my craft again on stage with them. I’m honored to be up there with yall! We have had so many adventures this year. I have a feeling that this is just the beginning.

Cup is full and ready for the journey ahead! Challenges and all.

@summerdanceforever prelim 2026

I have watched this event for so many years. It was a trip to see my dance in that space. I’ll be doing a full recap soon about my experience.

I’ll reiterate this in the video but I just wanted to thank everyone who reached out and showed love and support. It is and was overwhelming to feel that 🙏🫶 people who called and messaged and commented before hand with words of encouragement to even enter in the first place. Thank u from the bottom of my heart. In the end I learned a great deal from the experience and felt like something clicked mentally that could allow me to start participating in this space again regardless of outcome and that feels like a hug weight has been lifted. Grateful for you all 🙏🙏🙏

A friend happened to capture this… but I won’t release their name because ur not supposed to film 😅

West coast 🤘

Throwback to Stuttgart Germany with the fam. I wouldn’t be who I am without where I’m from. I wouldn’t have skills if it wasn’t for the community that invested in me. If you think I’m dope… I wish you could see my friends haha.

A different type of currency…✨🙏

Streetperformin in my home town. I’ve been doing this on this street when I’m in town for about 11 years. It’s not glamorous. Perhaps that why I like it most. It’s taught me so much about who I am and human perception.

One of the hardest things in the beginning was to have people walk by without a glance. Actually, I think the ones that glanced and kept walking hurt more. But why did it hurt? I can’t sit here and pretend I know what they are experiencing. It could be for any number of reasons that have nothing to do with me but for some reason in my head it was always about me. They didn’t like what I had been spending my whole life trying to get better at. How could they just walk away?!

That was one of the biggest breakthroughs. It isn’t about me. The way my art looks and how it is perceived isn’t the same as how I feel or experience it. There is a freedom in that. I felt no longer chained to the validation like I once was.

So the act of choosing this song… in the midst of the street hustle and bustle… felt contradictory to that… challenging… ambiguous and yet somehow deeply emotional. Somewhere between the concepts and technique… I’m experiencing… feeling.

I don’t expect everyone to watch or feel… or appreciate. I don’t expect people to resonate with dance… that’s just what happened to capture me in this life. For the ones that watch… and take a sec to give me a stage… to give me your very valuable life source and attention… thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️🙏 by @dsou1
