One frozen banana. One experiment. And a delicious surprise. 🍌✨

Today's kitchen experiment was an eggless baked banana churro, made using the choux pastry method and finished with a generous coating of cinnamon sugar.

They were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and bursting with warm banana flavour. Not perfect yet—but every recipe starts with a few experimental batches, and this one definitely deserves another round.

Would you dip yours in chocolate, caramel, or strawberry cream? 🍌🍌🍌

Ep. 3: 🍌 Banana Pancakes

Fluffy, naturally sweet, and the perfect way to use up ripe bananas! 🍌🥞 This might just become your new favourite breakfast.

Save this for later and tag someone who loves pancakes! 💛

#BananaSeries #BananaPancakes #BreakfastIdeas #Homemade #EasyRecipes

Makes: 8–10 small pancakes 🥞 🥞 🥞 🥞

Ingredients 📃

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup all-purpose flour or wheat flour

2 tbsp finely chopped dates / sugar (optional if bananas are very sweet)

2 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

1 egg (or ¼ cup yogurt for an eggless version)

¾ cup milk (adjust as needed)

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp melted butter or ghee

Butter or oil for cooking

Method 🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️
Mash the bananas until smooth.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

Mix the banana, egg, milk, vanilla, and melted butter.

Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Don't overmix—a few lumps are fine.

Or blend everything in a blender!!

Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.

Heat a lightly greased pan over medium-low heat.

Pour about ¼ cup batter for each pancake.

Cook until bubbles appear on top, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden.

Serve warm with butter, maple syrup, honey, fresh banana slices, walnuts, or chocolate chips.

🍌 Episode 2: Banana Bread 🍞

A few overripe bananas, a handful of walnuts, chunks of dark chocolate, and a little time in the oven.

This banana bread is soft, moist, and packed with flavour in every bite. Perfect with your morning coffee, afternoon chai, or as a comforting snack any time of the day.

One of the best things about baking? Turning simple ingredients into something special.

Recipe below. Enjoy! ✨

PS: I made a big batch to celebrate! Shared some with our neighbours ❣️

#TheBananaSeries #Episode2 #BananaBread #HomemadeBakes #bakingfromscratch

Ingredients

3 large ripe bananas (about 1 ½ cups mashed)

⅓ cup melted butter or ⅓ cup neutral oil

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Preheat the oven to 170°C.

Grease and line a loaf tin. You can use a cake tin, like I did...

Mash bananas until mostly smooth.

Whisk in butter/oil, sugar, egg, and vanilla.

In another bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.

Stir in walnuts and chocolate chunks.

Pour into a loaf tin.

Sprinkle extra walnuts and chocolate on top.

Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a skewer comes out with a few moist crumbs. by @dsouzael
