September weddings in Ireland… always best with a beautiful Plan B. ☔️🤍

One of our weddings this week at @bellinghamcastle , where the ceremony may have moved indoors, but nothing about the atmosphere was compromised.

One of the things we always appreciate about the coordinators at Bellingham is how seamlessly they prepare for every possibility. When the rain arrived, everything was already in place and the indoor ceremony setting felt every bit as special.

A beautiful September wedding, a gorgeous setting, and live strings to soundtrack it all. 🎻

It’s one thing to see a beautiful space waiting. It’s another to see it filled with people, music and the moments it was made for. We always love seeing guests stepping into this ceremony area as it’s do unique and always gets a lovely smile as people look around.

Today at @cliffatlyons , our string quartet carried the atmosphere from the quiet anticipation of the wedding ceremony to the buzz of the drinks reception—two parts of the day, each with a soundtrack of its own. 🎻

Today I scrolled back to something that still means a huge amount to me. We’ve won awards, we’ve played at stunning events, on huge stages, but this is possibly our greatest achievement and most fun.

Our charity concerts have always been special to us. It’s one of the rare chances many/ all of our musicians, dancers and performers can come together.

We’re very lucky to perform at beautiful weddings and events in incredible venues, but these concerts were built around something else entirely — friendship, collaboration, community and giving our time to causes that matter.

Our most recent concert was particularly special. We were joined by a childhood friend @taraerraught , who has gone on to become one of the world’s leading sopranos, returning home and generously giving her time and talent alongside so many of our musicians, singers, dancers and friends for this concert.

And then I went right back to our very first concert.

We had an idea, a lot of enthusiasm, and absolutely no idea just how successful it would become.

What I love most looking back is how many people came together voluntarily to make these nights happen. Different artists, different disciplines, all centred around the entertainment and all there for the same reason.

I think these concerts also say a lot about our team, and what we care about creatively: bringing people together, creating something bigger than one individual performance, and using entertainment to make people feel something.

They were great fun. They raised money for brilliant causes including The Kevin Bell Repatriation, @pieta.house @mariagorettifoundation @oscarskidsireland @makeawish_ie

And they gave us some memories I’ll always treasure.

Some projects entertain.
Some stay with you.

And looking back at these has made me think…

it might be time for another one. ❤️

The views at @killeavycastle never disappoint, and the rich burgundy florals looked perfectly at home against the rolling countryside.

Our string trio had the pleasure of performing for both the outdoor ceremony and drinks reception, providing the soundtrack as guests celebrated in the sunshine.

One of our favourite moments came during the drinks reception. Alongside requests from the adults—everything from Sweet Child O’ Mine to modern favourites—we were delighted to play Happy Birthday for the couple’s daughter, who was celebrating her 2nd birthday on her parents’ wedding day. Seeing the little ones dancing and making their own requests always adds something special.

It was also a lovely surprise to see one of our past brides, @marcela_b_art , capturing the ceremony on canvas while we had the privilege of capturing it through music.

The day began with elegant ceremony music in the Marble Room at Powerscourt House, before moving outdoors for a drinks reception that felt a little more… adventurous. 🌿💨

The wind certainly had its own plans (and came very close to claiming a music stand or two!), but thankfully the electric strings, backing tracks and a determined quartet kept the soundtrack going without missing a beat.

Two completely different settings. One incredible celebration.

Simply the Best felt like the perfect soundtrack for the evening.

There are weddings where music quietly becomes part of the architecture.

Yesterday at The @merrionhotel , the day began with a ceremony of timeless classical works before the atmosphere gently shifted outside onto the terrace, where the quartet moved into upbeat contemporary favourites as guests settled into the afternoon. A wedding filled with beauty, especially the STUNNING bride!

One of the things we love most about performing here is how naturally every part of the day flows from one space to the next.

A pleasure to work alongside the wonderful Alma and to share the day with Matthew from @dearoliverfilms and @christinabrosnan , whose calm presence and beautiful eye never go unnoticed. (Yes the one exceptional picture in this reel is curtesy of Christina! Really showing the difference in a professional photographer and our amateur snaps)

And yes… no Merrion day is quite complete without finishing with one of their ice creams.

One of our favourite places to perform. 5 star venue, with service, not only for guests but vendors too- topping up our waters as we perform, checking if we needed anything, it’s just a joy to work here.

2027 is shaping up to be a special year already. Just reviewed our 2027 bookings this evening and it’s very exciting! We’ve siblings of past couples, returns to our favourite venues, some new venues. Some in Ireland, some abroad. Weddings in to one of our favourite venues before it hosts the @therydercup . ⛳️🎻 by @dstringsirl

Some weeks remind us just how fortunate we are to do what we love. ✨

From the elegance of @theadaremanor and @dromolandcastlehotel to the grandeur of @luttrellstowncastleresort , @powerscourt_estate , @castleleslie , @cartonhouse.fairmont @thekclubireland and @theeuropehotelandresort , we’ve had the privilege of helping create the soundtrack to some truly beautiful celebrations over the past few weeks.

Sometimes it’s the timeless sound of our string ensembles accompanying a ceremony, drinks reception or meal. Other times it’s a full evening of entertainment, brought to life alongside our sister company, @dentertainment.irl , creating unforgettable experiences from the first note to the last dance.

To every couple, planner and venue who continues to place their trust in us—thank you. We never take it for granted. ❤️
