Today is my last day in Michigan.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost four years since I came here for my master’s degree. Between graduating, figuring out my visa, and constantly questioning my career path, these years have felt both incredibly long and surprisingly short.

Along the way, I’ve met so many wonderful people — partners who grew alongside me, and friends who patiently talked me through countless moments of self-doubt and overthinking. I’m far from perfect, which is why I’m especially grateful for those who have chosen to stay by my side anyway.

I’ve spent countless hours at Law Quad documenting other people’s memories and milestones, yet somehow never took the time to create a meaningful set of photos for myself.

This time, it isn’t about graduation photos.

It’s about capturing who I am right now, so that years from now I can look back and remember this version of myself.

When I graduated, I thought many times about moving straight to New York. Instead, I stayed in Michigan. And now, in the most beautiful season of the year, it’s finally time to say goodbye.

I don’t know exactly what the future holds, or what this next chapter will look like. There’s excitement, uncertainty, and a little fear.

But I’m ready to carry everything these four years have taught me into a new city and a new adventure.

Thank you, Michigan.

今天是在密西根的最後一天。

沒想到從來到這裡念碩士、畢業，到一路掙扎著自己的身份與職業方向，一晃眼已經快四年了。

在這裡遇見了很多很好的人。願意陪我一起成長的夥伴，也有在我無數次內耗、自我懷疑時願意開導我的朋友。我是一個離完美很遠的人，所以特別珍惜那些即使看見我的不完美，依然願意留在我身邊的人。

無數次站在 Law Quad 幫大家記錄人生的重要時刻，自己卻從來沒有認真為自己拍過一組照片，甚至畢業的時候也是…

不過這一次，不是穿畢業袍。而是希望未來某一天，當我回頭看見這些照片時，能想起此刻的自己。

畢業那年，曾經無數次想直接搬去紐約，最後卻選擇留在密西根；而這一次，在大家最喜歡的安娜寶夏天，真的要離開了… 不知道未來的旅程會是什麼模樣，也不知道會遇見什麼樣的人和故事。說實話，僅有一點點期待，卻有很多的焦慮。是時候離開真個舒適的安村，給自己更多挑戰了

🌷 Early Mother’s Day 🌷

With Mother’s Day just about a month away,
I’ve been thinking a lot about how meaningful it is to give something that truly lasts.

Growing up, my parents never really took professional photos. As a photographer, I always felt that was such a pity — they would say it’s too much trouble, or that they’re older now and not as photogenic.

But honestly, every version of ourselves is worth capturing. There is a quiet beauty in every stage of life — and these moments, once gone, can’t be recreated.

This year, I’m spending Mother’s Day in the U.S., away from my own parents. But I’ve also been given another set of parents here — and it felt so special to create something meaningful for them.

I helped plan their outfits, had a makeup artist @beauty_by_yen get my mother-in-law ready,
and watching everything come together… it reminded me how valuable these memories are.

Photos aren’t just for now —
they become something you look back on years later, and feel everything again.
