With heavy hearts, the Approaching Storm family mourns the loss of Mr. Chester Burr Knapp III.

Mr. Knapp was more than a staff member to us; he was a steady presence, a supporter, and a piece of the foundation that helped shape generations of Hornets. His impact lives in every student he encouraged, every season he helped carry, and every memory shared within this band family.

His legacy will forever be a part of the Approaching Storm.

Rest easy, Mr. Knapp. You will always be part of our sound.🩵 by @dsuapproachingstorm

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Harvey Bullock Jr. , affectionately known as “Dr. B.”

Dr. Bullock served Delaware State University as both Director of Bands and Assistant Director of Bands, leaving an undeniable mark on the musicians and students he poured into. As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he carried a commitment to leadership, service and excellence that extended into the band room.

His greatest legacy lives on through the many students he mentored, inspired and helped shape. Through them, his name, his influence and the lessons he instilled continue to live on within our band family.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, former students and everyone who had the privilege of knowing Dr. B.

Rest well, Dr. Bullock. Your legacy continues through us🩵❤️ by @dsuapproachingstorm
