May balak mag-import ng personal na sasakyan sa ilalim ng No-Dollar Importation (NDI) Program? Bago simulan ang proseso, siguraduhing pasok ka sa mga kwalipikadong kategorya ng importer.

Maaaring kabilang dito ang mga qualified Philippine citizens residing abroad, immigrants, dual citizens, Special Resident Retiree's (SRR) Visa holders, at Balik-Scientist Visa holders, subject to the applicable requirements.

The Philippines strengthens its position as a strategic gateway for global commerce with the opening of the UPS Clark International Air Hub at Clark International Airport on October 15, 2026. The facility, the first major private-sector investment under the Luzon Economic Corridor, is 15 times larger than its predecessor and can process up to 15,000 packages per hour, connecting businesses to more than 1,100 global trade lanes through 170 weekly flights.

Advancing renewable energy safety and quality standards!

In celebration of Consumer Welfare Month and National Standards Week, the Department of Trade and Industry-Bureau of Philippine Standards (DTI-BPS) brought together key government agencies, industry experts, and stakeholders for a full-day event focused on solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) safety.

The morning session featured a workshop on Solar PV and BESS safety, highlighting key considerations in risk management, electrical hazards, thermal runaway, and proper installation practices. Meanwhile, the afternoon technical forum explored policy frameworks, international standards, and strategic recommendations to support the safe deployment of green energy technologies.

Anchored on the theme “Shared Vision for a Better World” and aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy), DTI-BPS continues to champion standards and conformity assessment measures that help ensure renewable energy technologies in the Philippines remain safe, reliable, and accessible for all.
