Your HYROX race is more than a few photos at the finish line.

I’m building my portfolio and want to learn more about the HYROX world by creating cinematic stories around the athletes, the preparation, the effort and the atmosphere.

I’m selecting 2 athletes per day at HYROX Utrecht, November 28–29.

If you want your race captured while helping me build my portfolio and experience within the HYROX community, send me a DM.

Ever wondered who’s behind the lens at your event?

Most athletes give everything on the competition floor or the field, and walk away with nothing but a few blurry phone clips. The sweat, the grind, the moment it all clicks: gone the second it happens.

I’m Titus, the guy behind @dtrmnd_visuals I’m a sports and event videographer and photographer, and I see every event as a story waiting to be told. Not just the finish line, but the build-up, the struggle and the emotion in between.

That’s why I create cinematic photo and video for CrossFit, HYROX, paintball and much more. From aftermovies and team recaps to live content during the event, I capture the moments that matter for events, teams and athletes across Europe and hopefully around the world.

Nobody sees the hours before the competition floor.

Every athlete gets filmed on game day. The lights, the crowd, the final rep. But the real story starts way earlier. In a quiet gym, chalk on the hands, grips on, one more set when nobody is watching.

That’s where I want my camera to be. Not just at the highlight, but at the grind that leads up to it. The sweat, the focus, the conversations with your coach between sets. That’s what makes your story yours.

This is a training session with Nikki. No event, no crowd, just work. And honestly, that’s where the best footage comes from.

Your sponsor is paying for visibility. Are they actually getting it?

A lot of teams get sponsored gear, wear it every session, and then post one quick phone pic when someone remembers. The partnership is there, but nobody sees it.

The way I see it, the best sponsor content isn’t staged. It’s the belt pulled tight before a heavy set, the straps on the floor between rounds, the bottle that’s there every single session. Real training, with the gear right in the middle of it.

That’s what this shoot was about. Capturing a team sponsored by @zeuzfitness the way they train, with the gear showing up naturally in every frame.

What does focus look like when nobody’s filming?

Bar muscle-ups, handstand walks, heavy snatches. The hardest work in this sport happens on a regular weekday, in a regular gym, with a few training partners watching. Athletes give everything in those moments, and most of the time they’re never seen again.

The way I see it, that’s where the real story lives. Not only on the competition floor, but in the sessions that build you for it. The focus, the struggle and the strength that nobody gets to see.

So I capture it. Cinematic footage of your training and your events, made to show the athlete you’ve worked so hard to become.

Nobody sees the reps that happen before the podium.

Rings, handstands, heavy barbells. Session after session, week after week. Most athletes put in hundreds of hours of work, and almost none of it ever gets captured. The grind happens quietly, and then it’s gone.

The way I see it, the training is the story. The focus before the lift, the breath between the reps, the smile when it finally clicks. That’s what makes people believe in you, follow you and want to work with you.

So I bring the camera to where the real work happens. Cinematic footage of your training, your progress and your events, so your journey doesn’t stay invisible.

The next season isn’t won on the competition floor. It’s won right here.

Ring muscle-ups, barbell cycling, rep after rep in an empty gym. Every athlete chasing a bigger stage puts in this work, but when it’s time to show sponsors, events or their own following what they’re made of, there’s nothing to show. The progress is real, the proof is missing.

The way I see it, your preparation deserves to be seen as much as your result. The grind is what makes your story worth following, and the right footage turns it into something people remember.

So I film it the way it feels. Cinematic training and event content that shows where you’re headed, not just where you’ve been.

One person drops their end, and the whole team feels it.

That is what the worm teaches you. Four athletes, one load, and nowhere to hide. If one of you is late on the lift, everyone pays for it. Most teams only find out how in sync they really are on competition day, and by then nobody is filming the work that got them there.

The way I see it, the best team moments are not the podium shots. They are the moments where everyone lifts at the same time, where someone grabs the next shoulder and says “again”, where four people move like one. All in or not at all. That is where your team’s story is, and it disappears the second the session ends unless someone is there to capture it.

That is what I do. Cinematic team photo and video, from training sessions to the competition floor, so your team has content that shows the work, the trust and the grind behind every rep.

Walking on your hands looks easy. Until you try it.

Handstand walks are one of the most humbling skills in CrossFit. One loss of focus, one shoulder that gives in, and you’re back on your feet. On event day, that can cost you the whole workout.

She makes it look smooth. Tight core, locked shoulders, small controlled steps across the floor. What you don’t see are the countless falls, the sore wrists and the hours of practice it took to own this skill.

That’s exactly the story I want to tell. The control that comes from failing over and over until it finally clicks.

Nobody sees the rep that happens when the tank is empty.

Most athletes look strong when they feel fresh. But events aren’t won in the first round. They’re won in the moments where your lungs burn, your grip is fading and every part of you wants to slow down.

That’s where this athlete lives. Dumbbell overhead, eyes locked, no wasted movement. No shortcuts, no half reps. Just someone who decided a long time ago that the work comes first, and then shows up to prove it every single session.

This is what preparation looks like before the spotlight. Raw, focused and honest. Moments like this make the story behind the result, and they deserve to be captured just as much as the finish line.

The bar doesn’t care how you feel today.

Every lifter knows the moment. Hands on the bar, belt tight, a split second of doubt before the pull. That’s where most people hesitate. And hesitation is where lifts get lost.

She doesn’t negotiate with the bar. Set up, breathe, pull, catch. Elbows fast, chest proud, full control in the front rack. Strength built through hundreds of reps nobody was watching, now showing up with every lift.

That’s the side of competition prep I want people to see. Not just the numbers on the scoreboard, but the grit and focus it takes to get there.
