New Orleans, every life holds potential. Every story deserves to be honored. 💙🤍

The Potential Project, created by interdisciplinary artist Bentrice “BENI” Jusu (@beni_jusu), makes its New Orleans debut at Dillard University this Thursday, September 10.

Through visual art, digital storytelling, and community participation, this immersive experience honors lives and communities impacted by gun violence… and invites us to recognize the potential within ourselves and one another.

Presented by collaborative curator Condoleezza Semien (@condithecurator), this gathering opens a two-part series centered on remembrance, connection, and possibility.

If gun violence has touched your life or someone you love, there is space for you here. Come witness, connect, and share only what you feel comfortable sharing.

Each story matters. Each life has value. Together, we make room for healing.

📍 Dillard University
🗓 Thursday, September 10 | Doors open at 7 PM
💙🤍 Open to the New Orleans community

We are extremely proud of our #VoteHBCU Fellow Paris Allen (@iamparisallen) for the work he has put in to make this stop possible with the support of SGA President Lucine Flores (@luucineee) and Roderick Morning-Trice (@roderick.004), member of The Union.

We appreciate our panelists, @crj_du, @sga_du, @dillarddiamonds, @du_studentengagement and NPHC chapters (@nphc_du) for helping to make this event such a success. Remember, don’t drop the mic! Let’s continue to work together, DU.
