This was truly a special piece for me to choreograph. The process felt raw and when I let go of everything I tried to be, I tapped into a different kind of energy where everything came naturally, as though the piece was forming from its own consciousness. It became a translation of my unconscious mind, offering me insight into my current reality. Bit by bit, the meaning reveals itself to me, and I continue to see deeper connections between the dance and the experience that inspired it.

Thank you @resabartels_ and @andrakerii for your dedication and sensitivity. 🤍 It’s so special to see you guys embody, both physically and spiritually, what I shared with you.

Started 2026 with 3 months of dancing in Brazil and it became one of the best experiences of my life. So grateful for all the beautiful people, friendships and exchanges along the way🇧🇷💕

I practiced samba no pé, passinho and a little capoeira in Salvador, but what stayed with me most wasn’t the technique. In classes I often got stuck in my head, focused on the steps. But at pagodes, nights out and seeing people freely express themselves through dance, something shifted. That’s where I started feeling the music in my body instead of thinking about it, like we do most of the time when we learn a new style in a studio setting

It felt really special to build a relationship with the music, culture and dance in just 3 months, only the start but feeling that connection grow was so rewarding ❣️

If you have a feeling you need to go somewhere, even if you don’t fully understand why yet, go. Don’t let anyone discourage you. Your intuition knows things the rational mind can’t always explain yet✨

I love, that raw shit

When this song came on and heard the words I felt it so deep! (Unfortunately ig mutes this round bc of copyright🥲) I was really tired this day but it made me keep pushing, I was not clean at all but I felt real and raw. During the battle I kept thinking, how grateful and happy am I to dance!
Its the first Hip Hop battle I won after diving into the culture for 1,5 years, its been an intensive journey and Hip Hop changed my life. Hiphop has become my guide, my spirituality, my connection to the world, the people and above, I feel so much energy flowing through my body when I think or talk about the love I have for this😭❤️
I am sooo happy that this is only the beginning of my journey and that I have so much discoveries and experiences ahead of me and I know Hiphop will always play an important role in my life.
Hip Hop brought me to these beautiful people in Brazil, my soul feels so blessed and fulfilled to be able to connect in this way, no matter where you’re from. Thank you guys so much for all the exchanges, the talks, the laughter, I have learned a lot from you guys and your community and I will treasure this inspiration. 🇧🇷❤️

O Hip Hop também me trouxe até aqui, até essas pessoas incríveis no Brasil. Minha alma se sente completa por poder me conectar assim, além da língua, além de onde a gente vem.

Foi um prazer trocar e conhecer tantos dançarinos incríveis da cena hip hop do Rio! Curti muito ver a energia, autenticidade e a interpretação de cada um nos exercícios que fizemos 🔥

It was a pleasure to exchange information and meet wonderful dancers from the Rio hiphop scene here! I loved seeing everyone’s energy, authenticity and interpretation on the exercises we did. 21 year old dancer from the Netherlands. Studies dance at the Amsterdam university of the arts and currently has a gap year. Trains hiphop with hype and hope dojo in Amsterdam, lead by dimension. Focuses mostly on hiphop freestyle, but also has a big love for house, African, contemporary and martial arts movement.
