Earth people, what is funky? Magic 8Ballers are leaving everything to chance with this niche assortment of twisted, short circuited collaborations all concocted under the spell of Mama’s Magic™️. The SBC psychotic supergroup are known to shapeshift, encouraging stray jammers and a regular revolving door of the usual suspects to put their miscellaneous so-called skills into a pressure cooker; think studio lock in, coercive vocal tactics, “no wrong ideas”, micing up pots and pans, fake radio transmissions and turning cringe cyber sensations into hi-fi listening bar material. (Just kidding). The latest result is a 4 track digital EP with contributions from @dtiff_ , Roza Terenzi, @thc.dj and @daniel__rincon as well as special mentions to @leannemark , @chihiromeifuku , @internationalcatday and Yenny to name a few… This music isn’t for the heads, it’s for the headless. Here's some work we did for the Ethoplex crew, @nightjogger_ & @cocolis0_, to cut their first short run of vinyl for their latest release: NIGHT JOGGER - ENCRYPTED DATA. 20 black 12s and 5 clear red 12s with hand made pvc outer jackets. Mastering this set of beautifully weird music, at times jarringly industrial and angular, at times shoegazingly dreamy, was such a joy. So satisfying seeing it out in the world. Coming to the end of the year we get into this mode of reflection, trying to make sense of what we've done with our lives, where we're going, what it's all for etc. It's difficult sometimes to describe the journey we've been on as a little 2-person studio. people still don't really know what it is we've been up to: 4 years of our lives tucked away, given to building what has become a fully functional multidisciplinary, multimedia, music-focussed studio operation. we produce music here, we mix and master for our clients here, we dj and host events and residencies and we cut records. the main takeaway is that nothing but music makes sense in the chaos and ultimately, its what keeps us moving forward. with that said, we acknowledge and thank those artists who have trusted us with their music over the last few years whether for mixing, mastering, cutting records, advice, whatever it was that we could do for you to help you grow as an artist. your trust kept us going, gave us work and a feeling of purpose and for that you have our sincerest RESPECT @jamieenns @we__promise @myflower______ @_elantra__ @dtiff_ @angelscience_ @nightjogger_ @b_westisbest @communikait__ @jackj_____ @mood_hut @weirdos_inc.records @cocolis0_ @birdriot @cool_underground_music @lazy.deejay @phubhouti @hayleydawnmuir @apollosparadise @tondiue by @dub.4mt
