In the beginning was feathered tip and then we made some in blunt cut and left some as feathered tip because that’s what our client preferred.

One year ago today, my family and I received news that broke my heart.

I remember that day very clearly. I started the day pumped, ready to receive good news. Then everything changed very quickly.

To say that I was hurt is an understatement. I really can’t explain what I felt that day.

Everything happened so fast. In those first moments, it was just my husband, me and God.

My husband was a rock. We held on to each other. He spoke to me and, little by little, I started feeling better. We talked, we encouraged each other and somehow, we just kept going.

And somewhere in the middle of everything, I found myself singing, “Great is Your faithfulness to me.”

I didn’t have all the answers. I didn’t understand why things happened the way they did, but God was still God.

We left the hospital and came to the place where we were renovating my hair spa at that time. My friends later came around, and before I knew it, I was back @dubellestyles with my girls, taking pictures of wigs, creating content, trying to sell and just trying to keep going.

Looking back now, I can’t believe it’s been a year. It feels like it happened just yesterday.

I don’t just remember the pain anymore. I remember how God helped me through it. I remember my husband, my friends, my siblings. I remember the things I was able to do even in a season when I didn’t feel like myself.
I am not even sure I am myself yet, but I am grateful.

God has been faithful, He still is.

For everytime we have a deadline and I have to step in because of staff palava, I’m reminded of the conversation I had with my mom some years ago.
I received my dividend from Gt and I really wanted to do something tangible with the money.
So I told her I would like to start a poultry.
My mom laughed and said, “poultry ke”
What do you know about poultry? Can you take care of the hen? Can you clean their feaces?
How about the smell can you stand it?
You cannot invest in a business you know nothing about.
It didn’t make sense to me then but now I have better understanding.
I assigned this hair to someone for a simple correction.
It wasn’t supposed to take the whole day to effect the correction but it did and because we had a deadline, I stepped in.
Time to go home, I carried the hair home .
My assistant and I ran a shift 🤣🤣.
we worked together till past 1am and i slept off while she started up an hour extra. 5 am again, I resumed.
Spoke with some members of the team yesterday before we closed and they agreed to resume earlier than normal so could meet up with delivery by 11:00am.
It’s almost 1 pm, client hasn’t come to pick up but I’m glad we finished up with the hair and are ready for delivery.
If I didnt know anything about the craft it would have been difficult to meet up with delivery timeframe today and that brings me back to what my mum told me years ago.

A client dropped a very beautiful review of this HH extension and it occurred to me we aren’t loud enough about the lushness of this extension.
You can even tell from the way it’s moving this video.
It’s light weight and very easy to maintain.
