We reaffirm our unconditional support for the Cuban Revolution as it faces the gravest crisis in its history at the hands of US imperialism.

The restoration of capitalism in Cuba would be a defeat not just for the Cuban working class, but for workers across the world.

The best way we can help the Cuban Revolution is by fighting resolutely for the overthrow of our own capitalist ruling class at home, which is itself subservient to Western imperialism.

Long live the Cuban Revolution!
Workers of the world, unite!

Packed room for our Day School on Saturday — Ireland: from Conquest to Re-conquest.

We had excellent discussions about the Cromwellian Conquest of Ireland, the Rebellion of 1798, and finally, the struggle for a United Ireland today. All the sessions demonstrated that only the scientific method of Marxism is capable of understanding the real processes that have shaped Irish history for 800 years.

Like Connolly, we study our history not as an academic exercise, but in order to understand the lessons it holds for today's revolutionaries.

If you are ready to join us in the fight for a Socialist United Ireland in our lifetime, then head to communism.ie/join today to get organised!

On Saturday we held our biggest meeting ever! With 71 tickets sold, our day school on Irish history was a spectacular success.

As the flames of revolt spread across Europe, there's no task we can dedicate ourselves to that's more pressing than that of building the forces of revolutionary communism here in Ireland and, in doing so, raising our understanding of the rich revolutionary traditions that the Irish working class inherits today.

If you want to join us in this work, then head to communism.ie/join to learn how you can get involved!

On Wednesday 14 October, comrades stood in solidarity with striking public sector workers across Ireland.

300,000 public sector workers went on strike this week to demand a wage increase that lets them make up for the cuts to real pay they've been forced to take in recent years by the cost of living crisis.

We extent our full solidarity with all workers who went out on strike this week and we support them fully in their plan to come out again on Wednesday the 21st. The overwhelming ballots in favour of strike action demonstrate that public sector workers have been pushed to their limits and they are prepared to fight for a decent pay deal.

Simon Harris and Jack Chambers, for their part, have demonstrated that they won't concede to the workers' reasonable demands on the basis of polite negotiations, but only if they are forced to do so by the workers to make this country run every day.

Victory to the public sector workers! ✊

From Dublin to Gaza, we need an Intifada! ✊🇵🇸

One year ago, two million Italian workers demonstrated that the working class is the only force in society with the power to strike a serious blow into the heart of the imperialist, capitalist system that's responsible for three years of genocidal slaughter in Gaza, alongside countless other crimes.

Today, amidst another explosion of class struggle across Europe, from militant housing protests in Spain, to strikes by students and teachers in France, we once again see the immense power of the working class on display. It's only by linking the struggle against austerity and the attacks on the working class at home to the fight against imperialism, that we can finally put an end to the capitalist system that Lenin aptly described as "horror without end".

To help us build a revolutionary party up to the tasks presented by history and join the fight for socialist revolution in our lifetime, head to communism.ie/join today to sign up and become a member of the Revolutionary Communists of Ireland!

Comrades at the national demo for Palestine yesterday to mark three years of Israel's genocide in Gaza.

So-called ceasefires have done nothing to end the slaughter or give self-determination to the Palestinian people. The past three years have demonstrated that for Palestine to live, imperialism must die.

If you agree, then you should join us in the fight for world revolution! Head over to communism.ie/join to sign up today. by @dublincitycommunists

In the context of the quickly escalating mass students protests sweeping France, as well as the mass housing protests in Spain, we hosted a meeting to discuss the events of the revolution of May 1968. The revolution was started in Paris by students, but quickly turned into one of the biggest general strikes in history, with a clear potential to overthrow capitalism. In order for any revolutionary movement to succeed today we need to study the lessons from these events and them to our conditions.

We stand in full solidarity with the youth and workers in France and Spain!

Vive Mai 68!
Vive la commune!
Macron Démission!

In France, May 1968, students and workers launched the largest ever general strike the country had ever seen. 11 million people brought French capitalism to a halt. On the walls of the Sorbonne, they emblazoned the words: “be realistic, demand the impossible.”

Today a new generation is doing just that. Gen Z have toppled government after government, uniting against corruption, inequality, and bringing down capitalist regimes like a house of cards.

The struggle is international and the fight didn’t end back in ‘68. The struggle to overthrow capitalism is ours to finish. But in order to do this we need to study past revolutions like May 1968 in order to learn from their lessons and prepare ourselves for the revolutionary movements ahead.

Join us to do this next Thursday at 18:00 in room 3075 of the TCD arts building.

March with us at the National Demo for Palestine on 10 October in Dublin.

Three years into Israel's genocide, we are seeing more than ever the impotence of so-called 'international law' to do anything to stop the industrial-scale murder of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. The best the Irish ruling class can muster is so many empty words at the UN General Assembly and an Occupied Territories Bill so watered down to be completely toothless.

We have no trust in a UN-brokered 'two state solution'. The only way forward is a worldwide Intifada against Western imperialism and the rotten capitalist system it rests on.

End the genocide!
Free Palestine!
Intifada until victory!

We invite you to the next National Day School of the Revolutionary Communists of Ireland – Ireland: From Conquest to Re-conquest – on 17 October in the Teacher’s Club, Parnell Square West. The purpose of the school will be to arm the next generation of revolutionaries in the struggle for a Socialist United Ireland with the rich lessons of Irish history.

The first session will be Oliver Cromwell and the Conquest of Ireland. We will discuss how England not only subjugated Ireland politically, but also carried out a transformation in social relations in order to render Ireland wholly dependent on it.

The second session will be on The United Irishmen and the 1798 Rebellion. The great democratic revolutions in America and France served as a shining point of reference for Irish revolutionaries such as Wolfe Tone, Thomas Russell and Jemmy Hope. The United Irishmen should be remembered not just for being brave martyrs of the republican cause, but above all for their advanced democratic and internationalist ideas that continue to inspire Irish revolutionaries to this day.

Finally, we will conclude with a session titled Is a United Ireland inevitable? Speaking about the prospect of a United Ireland during his recent visit to Dublin, Donald Trump said, "It's going to happen eventually. It may as well happen now." And yet, more than four years after Sinn Féin became the most-voted party in the North of Ireland, a border poll seems as distant as ever before. We will look back at the ideas of James Connolly and the history of the Good Friday Agreement to draw out the key lessons for the struggle against partition today.

This will be the biggest Day School ever organised by the Revolutionary Communists of Ireland and if you want to fight for a Workers’ Republic then it’s not a day you want to miss! Get your tickets today by following the link in our bio!
