DUBLIN PRIDE RUN 🌈⃤

We are thrilled to announce that the final amount raised from Dublin Pride Run 2025 is €76,347.95!! On Saturday, we presented cheques of over €25,300 to three very deserving charities: @tenipics @gcnmag @lgbtireland_ie

We are very proud to have raised such a staggering amount for these three charities. The funds raised will make a real difference to the important services that they provide. We look forward to seeing those positive changes implemented💫

This is a record-breaking sum raised in Dublin Pride Run history, which is now in its 13th year. We also had the highest number of race participants taking part this year. Thank you to everyone who took part and fundraised. You are all legends. Throughout the 13 years of Dublin Pride Run, we have raised over €326,000 for worthwhile causes.

Special congrats go to Race Director Paul Franey and his hardworking committee of volunteers. It was his first year taking on this role and we are delighted to announce that he will be back for Pride Run 2026! An event on this scale takes a village to organise, therefore we would like to extend our gratitude to each and every member and volunteer who supported our event. Shoutout to our Chairperson Mark Armstrong and DFR committee also.

Our amazing marathon group have been training hard for months and we are super proud of every single one of you🥹Dedication, consistency and sheer determination have led you to the start line, and now it’s your time to shine! ✨

Our autumn/winter schedule is in full swing and we want you🫵 to join us tonight for track training 🏟️

Interval track training is guaranteed to help improve speed and fitness⚡️We have 2 different groups to cater for all running abilities. Our fab coaches Susan and Mike lead these two groups. There is also onsite parking and changing facilities, what more could you want?! Don’t be shy, come along and give it a try! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻

We had two teams of DFR athletes taking part in the Dublin Novice Cross Country on our home turf in Phoenix Park on Sunday!

Our teams finished a brilliant 8th and 9th competing against tough competition, among some the best clubs in Dublin❤️‍🔥💙🩵

Well done to all who competed ⭐ and to all of our supporters who came out to cheer on everyone racing 😘

Thank you to Irish author Gráinne O’Hare @spacedolphin_ and @picadorbooks for the complimentary copies of International Bestseller: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗽.

We had great fun reviewing this hilarious, relatable, brilliantly chaotic book at our women’s monthly post-run meet-up! (We run, and then we hit the pub!). And just like the book, we focus on fun and friendship. Thank you to @deelyons54321 and @kirsti_kotilainen for sharing their insights, we can’t wait for the sequel Gráinne!!👀😄

𝗢𝗛 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗛‼️

Did we did we enjoy 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗥𝗨𝗡 •‿•

We had a huge attendance of 148 members at this 4 mile race last month. As part of our on-going support of our members we gifted race entries to 100 lucky members. All racing in aid of @sjhfoundation🩵

It was a special night remembering our past club and committee member Kieran Cooney💙

All of our members raced really well and represented Dublin Front Runners with pride. We had a whopping 20 members finish in the Top 20⚡️🏁 Amazing results in 27 degrees heat!🥵

Shoutout to @jamesomoran who was our first man to cross the finish line and placed 3rd overall in the race🏆 And to @eadoclose who was our first woman home also 🏆

🔦 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟳𝗽𝗺 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗮 𝗛𝗤 - Phoenix Park - New introduction of one simple, fully lit 10k route with turnoffs at 5 and 8km for those who don’t like running in the dark🫂 This is in addition to our usual 4 other routes. Bright reflective clothing required and head/body lamps and lights💡

👟 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟵.𝟰𝟱𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 - Slow & Gentle 5k, 5, 8 and 10k routes followed coffee and chats in Phoenix Cafe.

🏃‍♀️ We’re really getting into track! 🏃‍♂️

What a great evening at our Track Taster Session in Irishtown Stadium last night! There was loads of talent on show in the bleep test, javelin, long jump and high jump. We definitely uncovered a few hidden skills which we’ll be putting to good use in future! Watch this space👀

Big thanks to everyone who came along, and to our coaches Mike, Susan and Seanie for putting us through our paces💪

We’re already looking forward to more... which is good timing as we’ll be back at Irishtown Stadium on Monday evenings from 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫🌈

To our Race Director Paul F. and his fabulous team who once again organised a very successful Pride Run and THE best lgbtq+ After Party Dublin has seen!🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This was Paul’s second year as Race Director(as well as being on the club’s main committee), and we think he did an outstanding job. His hardworking crew worked tirelessly for months in preparation for our annual 5k charity race. It was bigger and better than ever and we simply could not have predicted how quickly it was going to sell out! Everyone worked extra hard to get everything over the line #teamwork
