Welcome back to Graffiti Time Machine 7. In today’s episode we are back near Washington and Soto. We had multiple spots in the area as well as tags and miscellaneous graffiti’s. As a teen I use to spend a lot of time around these parts. This bridge was one of my favorite spots because just on the other side of it I painted a warehouse wall with my friend TISTIK when we were kids. We road our bikes to that spot. Years later I came back with Gin to risk our lives for this prize. Painting metal bridges was special because it wasn’t something everyone did. Back then we pioneered hang over spots like these. Graffiti Time Machine #6 In this episode I revisited Washington and Soto area where GIN and I had painted some of our longest running landmarks. They eventually gave in to the rest of time and are no longer around. This particular bridge is special because of the changes that happened around it. When the Amtrak Railway was being built a second bridge was built above it changing the landscape. Our names were left untouched for 12 years. In 2007 I went back to fix my spot. It ran until 2015 and was eventually painted over. I hung out in this area a ton back in the late 80’s to mid 90’s. My friend TISTIK and I use to ride our bikes and catch spots in the area. My younger brother and I would run through here 4 times a week. I ate at Mike’s regularly. HOCKEY BURGERS were a must. by @ducexone

Welcome back to GTM #5
In 1990 Los Angeles inaugurated its new transit line after not having one since 1961. The Blue Line ran from 7th street in DTLA to Downtown Long Beach. A group of my friends and I plans on taking advantage of the free rides and possibly leave our mark. The Ghost Team (Graffiti Habitual Operations Suppression Team) was one step ahead and knew that their new trains were going to be tempting to the cities graffiti writers. Ghost stopped a group of my friends and gave them citations for possessing graffiti paraphernalia. I watched from across the street as I had fallen behind catching some tags. Our dream of painting transit trains never materialize and Gin came up with a plan he called The blue Line tour. The objective was to be up on every possible spot along the Blue line route. We accomplished our goal and we’re seen by Blue line commuters for over a decade. The original building still stands and has a dope mural by El Mac. There is a new building that blocks the wall we painted in 1993. While we were painting this location we were spotted and had to jump of and hide from the “Ghetto Bird”. Welcome back to Graffiti Time Machine #4 The series where I revisit spots I painted 34 years ago. This location was visible off the 10 Freeway In Los Angeles. It ran for well over a decade and it eventually got buffed. It’s been painted several times by others. The main focus of my videos is to show what was and what is. The surrounding area has changed a lot. There were no fences or barbwire back then, homeless encampments or dirty streets. I had to climb the adjacent building. I was afraid that I would not be able to film this spot as I drove several times around the block only #graffiti #spraypaint #duce to find the alleyways blocked and every other entry point closed or reinforced with razor wire. Lucky for me I am in good shape and I was able to climb up the building with ease. I hope you liked this episode and I’ll catch you on the next one. GTM#5 by @ducexone

Graffiti Time Machine Part 3.
On this episode we follow the Train tracks close to the Cypress park station where a little graffiti Jewel resides untouched for the past 33 years. This place serves as a time portal and witness to what was a rapid run of energy and spray paint by the pair who some coined as dynamic duo of LA graffiti. Color was not something we regularly used due too most of the walls that we painted were virgin walls. This was a rare opportunity to splash some color on a wall. I hope you enjoyed this story. Welcome back to another episode where I revisit spots I painted over 34 years ago. Today we visit an area that use to belong to to the Santa Fe Rail road and it is now Heritage Square Metro station. This train tack leads to a bridge that crosses over the 110 freeway.

The Ave 60 brigdge Time Machine: revisiting after 34 years.. Most people just see a train bridge but in the early to 90’s this was one of our prized canvases where we would display our work. We painted it regularly and maintained our spot for years. I almost lost my life twice here. Mine is just one story out of many that were formed on this bridged. Before the Metro used its rails Santa Fe Railroad own the line and graffiti writers decorated it, local gangs hung out on its edges.
