Delete your discord accounts. Cancel nitro. Boycott discord. They are implementing I'd and biometric age verification in the name of protecting children. Protecting children on the internet is always good. However this goes much deeper than just that. I'm not bring dramatic when I say this will determine the future of the internet and take us closer to a digital ID. If s company as big as discord is allowed to get away with this with no significant profit loss, every other company will follow, and soon age verification will be everywhere. Cooking recipe, ID verification. Wikipedia, ID verification. It is inconvenient I get it. Discord is where your study group is, old friends from high school, your dad campaign, maybe where you get brand deals as a YouTube, where you network. Leaving discord feels like leaving all of that. These people are betting the inconvenience of leaving your discord community outweighs the inconvenience of handing them your privacy. However, this is one of the only times that you, a regular person, the consumer, gets a say in the future of the world. If hundreds of thousands say no to this, that proves that ID and biometric verification is not the way they can do age verification. Keep your most valuable privacy. If the future is more and more digital, I'm keeping my privacy. by @dudebroguy829
